I wish I would've seen T2 in theaters, just didn't go back then.
This was the first R rated movie I saw at 13 yrs old. My dad took me and a friend.

The Dark Knight in a sold out IMAX theater opening weekend.

Fellowship of the Ring on Christmas day after mass.
They had incense burning for mass and it stuck to my clothes so I felt like that's what middle earth smelled like as an 11 year old
Movie was incredible too.
The new top gun was an amazing theater experience as well.

As a kid, Rocky IV. As an adult, Pulp Fiction.

I’m sure this won’t be a popular answer but watching Passion of The Christ in the theater was a pretty sobering experience. I just remember everyone walking out of the theater in absolute silence.

What was your most memorable movie theater experience?
Watching the original Star Wars at the theater when it first came out. There was nothing like it at the time in terms of special effects.

Friday - opening weekend. The whole theater was the hood except me and 2 friends. I've never laughed harder at a movie. Was pretty high for it.
Something about Mary - college crowd, packed.
The Bride of Chucky - TinselTown and the whole theater was the hood. They would yell shite at the screen, all funny so it added to the laughs.
I was on microdots when I saw The Matrix. Very Memorable.
Saw quite a few midnight movies in the late 90s on acid at TinselTown. Those purple exit hallways rocked.
Temple of Doom in Florida on vacation. I was a kid and loved Raiders. It was dark, but always remembered the railcar scene!

The Dark Knight of course.

Embarassing but National Treasure. Was just the right age to eat that up.

For me, it’s easily Jurassic Park. The combination of the CGI dinosaurs and the thundering debut of DTS was amazing.

As a kid, ET.
As a teen, the Tim Burton Batman.
As an adult, (this one is tough) Fellowship of the Ring.
I’ll always have a soft spot for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade because that’s the last time my immediate family all went to a movie together. My mom picked me up from school and we went straight to the theater.

We were in Jackson MS for a museum exhibit and caught The Nutty Professor (Eddie Murphy) one night. We were perhaps the only white folks in the place. It was nutty alright.

Two:
Star Wars (when that's all it was, not : A New Hope)
My 8 year old brain was mesmerized by what I was seeing on the screen. Ended up seeing it 12 more times in the theater (its initial run was over a year).
Fellowship of the Ring
Tolkien fan my entire life. Was so excited that it was being pit to film as a live action. Did not dissapoint.

I was ten years old when I saw this in the theater. I didn’t understand those feelings in my pants. But I liked it.

Home alone for sure in young childhood <10.
Independence Day when I was 15. My first summer working full time as a life guard. Had all the money I needed to do whatever I wanted. Went on opening night 7/2 in a completely packed theater with the cold AC blowing after getting pizza at the food court. Life was fricking great.

Whiplash for me. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

As a kid: Planet of the Apes (1968)
As a teen: Superman (1978)
As an adult: My wife and I did a double feature of Inside Llewyn Davis and Nebraska, knowing nothing about either film. We walked out amazed at how good two small movies could be.
