My biggest disappointment was Firefox.
Spot on.
That is so true for a lot of us kids back then. We were so excited to see a Clint Eastwood movie, Dirty Harry himself. Now I can see Clint on the big screen for once.
And then you're like, WTF is this shite?
It was so boring for a kid, you might as well be watching Play Misty for Me. Firefox was just so dull.

The Matrix
I saw Star Wars IV,V,VI, Aliens, Die Hard, The Abyss, T2 in the theater.
I went into the Matrix with friend, having never seen a trailer with no idea of who was in it or any inkling for what it was about.
Totally blown away. From start to finish.
I can't think of a bigger reveal, in the first 30 min of the film no less, with the exception of Andy's tunnel or the "Quartet" bulletin board.

Saw this one n a theater with my best friend when we were around 12. You're right. It was a really boring movie.

Seeing titties on the big screen during Titanic when I was 13.
Epic.

Bananas with my pawpaw. Saw titties. Was amazed he took me to see it. Was but a wee lad.

My first grade class loaded up in a school bus and drove over to the nearest town with a theater. First time most of those kids had been in a theater, myself included.
That group of public school kids watched Song of the South. Amazing, albeit for nostalgia's sake.

Got a few:
Was 12 years old in 1977 for Star Wars. Saw it at the University Twin theater kind of where Murphy's used to be.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Pretty mind blowing
First R rated movie was Saturday Night Fever. Saw it around the same time
Also Mad Max 2 Road Warrior. Really showed off theater audio capabilities

My first theater memory was ET but the first movie that was mind blowing was Jurassic Park.

Hmmm, maybe watching Batman Begins and the Dark Knight back to back before the Dark Knight Rises premiere at midnight. That was a cool experience.
I did the same and it was an awesome experience, even though I felt like a zombie afterward.
