Haven't read through the whole thread, but for me it's 2 ABC shows. Traveler was pretty awesome, left on a midseason cliffhanger, and then they just cancelled it. They set up the story so well and I hated not having an ending to it, even if they just did another half season.

And also Sons and Daughters I think was the name of the show. May be in my top 3 funniest sitcoms I've seen with Seinfeld and some other choices. If it's on Netflix I highly recommend it.

Rome (obviously) & Jericho.

I could have watched a little more John From Cincy too.

I don't know Butchie instead.

Surface- NBC Although it wasn't a horrible decision, apparently the ratings were crap. I was just really into this show.

Invasion- ABC This followed Lost and I think the ratings warranted another season, not sure though.

Rome (duh)
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (I'm still pissed about that one!!)
The Riches
John from Cincinnati (was just starting to get interesting and I was just starting to "get it" at the end)
Murder in Small Town X (had TONS of potential--what was up with the "sweepers"? I thought it deserved another season)

+1000

That's what happens when the dumb asses at NBC decide to air it on Saturday nights. That show was awesome.

I agree on Carnivale and Rome

I also watched two shows that got axed waaay early that had potential imho: The American Embassy on Fox (lasted a whole four episodes) and Kingpin on NBC, which made it six episodes.

Every time this topic comes up I hope someone else mentions Andy Richter Controls the Universe but no one ever does.

Carnivale and Firefly would be my top 2.

Rome is up there as well but they covered a ton of ground in season 2 and did a good job of wrapping it up.
