What the hell is Jerod Leto doing in 'House of Gucci'

The film is just bizarrely bad anyway, but Jerod Leto is literally doing a bad Super Mario impression throughout the film. And it gets progressively worse at the movie goes on.
I'm actually not even sure Leto is a good actor. Everything he's done for the past decade has been nothing but bad cartoon performances.

He is shitting brilliance all over the screen, that's what he's doing. The most engaging thing about that film was Jared Leto. Youa don know what your talkeeng about, okaay?

I think he’s just fricking with us at this point, but it ended up being the only thing I enjoyed about the movie.

I mean that’s not hard. The movie was laughably bad.

Trying to get over being the worst version of Joker ever to appear onscreen?

I thought he was great in it.
He plays the crazy loser perfectly.

He was clearly doing his best Mario impression. Was this not a parody film? I didn’t see it.

That movie was good and Leto was great in it, albeit comically great. I didn’t even know it was him until I looked at the credits.

House of Gucci was a pretty crappy movie, but Leto was by far the best thing about the movie.
Have a downvote.

He could be great if he wasn't just..off a little bit on everything he does.
I liked the joker he portrayed at the end of the Snyder cut a lot better than the shite that was in the other film.

I haven't seen it but how was Lady Gaga? All I read about was how method or whatever she went but I've never been impressed with her onscreen

She was OK at first, but then grated on you throughout the film and you come to despise her.
Her acting was also nearly as comical as Leto at times. She's a B-/C+ actress who gets A level roles because of her celebrity status

Exactly what I thought when I saw A Star is Born

I thought the movie was pretty good. This take is pretty bad.

The difference is, Cooper and his directing decisions were able to carry that picture and take much of the load off of her and highlight her musical strengths heavily, while in House of Gucci, she's basically the lead for 2/3 of the film and Driver is playing a very reserved character and role, so they can't really cover up her deficiencies... Which makes the entire movie kind of a mess.
