and then when that movie (some Transformers sequel) starts, we stand up and walk out. As we're walking out the woman behind us says to us, "Jesus Christ, give it a chance!"

Walking out after the first few minutes of Transformers two is actually legit.

"Hey, here are these transformers who have been laying stagnant not hurting anybody or any threat for thousands of years, let's go in and start fighting them destroying cities all over the world causing billions of dollars in expenses to these cities."

Showgirls. I was 17 or 18. I saw Jessie Spano's tits a couple of times and left. I saw what I was there for and took off.

Didn’t walk out on it but I should have because it sobered me up with how bad it was, but League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Did walk out of Pineapple Express and snuck into Tropic Thunder. Was 100% the right call. Pineapple Express was dogshit and Tropic Thunder is an all time comedy

and to think that Connery took that role over the role of Gandalf.

it's not like Connery needed the role or anything, but man, what an epic capstone to a remarkable career that would have been

It was in response to FOTR (and Matrix, because he turned down being Morpheus, too) being such hits and the financial hit he took.

So he picked the next fantasy-ish big tent movie he was offered, and then retired because of how bad this decision was.
