Return to Oz. How in the hell was this movie ever marketed to children?
The wheelers always creeped me out. I loved Return to Oz though

I need some help finding the name of this movie.
It was black and white. There was a crack in the earth that seemingly was alive and would eat people.
My Uncle tortured me by telling me he communicated with "the crack" and would tell it to get me if i misbehaved. Thats the movie that answers the OP for me.
I cant find that movie for the life of me.
Thanks.

When I was really young, my older brothers used to watch The Cat's Eye (we had a VHS copy that was dubbed from HBO by my Uncle who had one of those huge-arse satellite dishes). There was one mini-episode with a troll that steals Drew Barrymore's breath and hides in the walls, and I'll be damned if I didn't sleep well for a month.

...the one I still have issues with when flying the Twilight Zone Nightmare at 20000 feet with William Shatner and that gremlin on the wing.
Movies that creeped me out as a kid included The Blob, Horror of Dracula, Day the World Ended, Hound of the Baskervilles.

I would be in constant fear of imminent lion attacks for about a week after watching The Ghost and the Darkness.
The only thing scary about that movie is the acting...
And i love the movie.

The video store that my dad used to take us to had a cardboard cutout of Freddy Kruger in the horror section, and that thing scared me more than the damn movie did.
My parents let me watch Mr. Boogedy at a very young age, and that scared the crap out of me.
After that it was Event Horizon, which was cripplingly terrifying to 12 year old me.
Also, Manhunter (the first Hannibal Lecter movie) gave me sleepless nights as a kid.
