What kind of friends do you have? They live under rocks? I've never met anyone who hasn't seen Back to the Future.

I actually have a few:

The Game - curve ball ending
House of Games - such a wild movie - about con artists - curve ball ending
Fight Club - curve ball ending

Guess there is a pattern here -

Magnolia

(with the preface that after the watchee watches it - I will tell them 3 things that they probably didn't notice/consider that would only make what they just saw even better)

Spinal Tap is my all time favorite movie to watch with people who have never seen it.

What are the three things? Since it's my favorite movie I probably already know, but I'm still interested.

I'll second Rounders

Other than that, Beautiful Girls and Closer

I really enjoy films where everyone is a degenerate, piece of shite. To me it really speaks to the human condition.

Three movies in one day. Damn. I did watch 12 episodes of Prison Break the other day, so I guess I can't talk.

1. There will be a time in your life where the "one least likely" is the one that ends up being there for you.

2. The smarter a person is - The more difficult it is to find true happiness.

3. The final 10 frames of film are probably my favorite of all time because it is an amazing, accurate portrayal of HOPE. Claudia does something in the final 10 frames of film for the very first time in the movie...

...She smiles. It's just a really amazing, subtle portrayal of the moment somebody chooses to live again.

If there were to be a 3b: All those different people going through their individual chaotic ordeals... Each of them thinking that they know so much about everyone around them. In actuality the only thing they have in common is the weather.

I try to never force someone to watch a movie that I enjoyed because inevitable they won't like it nearly as much as I do.

My wife hasn't seen a bunch of my favorites, like Star Wars, the original Indiana Jones trilogy, Godfather, Saving Private Ryan... but I'm not going to force them on her. The DVDs are right there whenever she feels like.
