Tried to watch Strike last night. It’s a 1925 Soviet silent propaganda film directed by Sergei Eisenstein. Made it about 30 mins.

A studio gave Steven Seagal a budget and creative control including directing. I feel bad for Michael Caine and R Lee Ermey. Worth watching just to laugh at it. (The Room and Troll 2 are worse but they had no money or name actors).

That movie is a big reason why I hate Twenty One Pilots music. Not because I have a strong opinion on the music they make but just the association of their song Heathens with that movie makes me skip any song of theirs

Always loved that after Segal had done Hard to Kill and Out for Justice he made Out for a Kill. Just started recycling titles from his previous movies

Saw this in theaters and it ended up being one of the better unintentional comedy experiences I’ve ever had. We all thought we were getting some dark, brooding Shyamalan disaster flick and then we just started losing it. I think I cried laughing over the old lady in her house and Wahlberg taking to the plant. I haven’t rewatched it since but for that reason I can’t hate it.

Both god awful films with what should have been one of my favorite universes.
On another note - I really hated House of Sand and Fog. Movie was unnecessarily sad. I was pretty angry at the writers for that bullshite.

I doubt anyone has seen or heard of this 1988 adaptation of Asimov's well regarded short story Nightfall...but I actually saw it in the theater....and it was the worst movie I've ever seen.
