Stole this answer from Reddit....

Primarily The Santa Clause films, but many other Xmas movies are guilty of this as well: When the premise involves adults going "Haha, Santa's not real," do they not remember WHICH PRESENTS THEY GOT THEIR DAMN KIDS??? Do they just watch the kids open up all these zany gifts on Xmas morning and go "Huh, I don't remember buying THE VAST MAJORITY of this shite, but whatever, I'm sure I did. frick Santa."

Batman jumps out the window to save maggie gillenahall(thats who she played. she was not Rachael Dawes) and leaves the joker in a room full of innocent victims. Nothing ever happens to those people and apparently the joker just leaves peacefully and batman never goes after him.

I have always thought of that
It really just makes no sense, literally every Christmas movie does it.

in Transformers 2, they literally walk out of the Smithsonian into the desert

Good one. Not only that, Batman and Maggie fall about 25 floors before crashing into the roof of a parked taxi, crushing it, and neither of them are remotely injured.

Not a plot hole, but something that always jumps out at me - In Star Trek Generations, when the bad guys fires a rocket at the sun, everyone stands there and watches it hit the star as if its hanging a couple hundred feet off the ground.

Superman 2: he flies to the fortress of solitude with Lois Lane and gets rid of his powers. HOW THE frick DO THEY GET BACK? It's in the North Pole. They also show a normal human Clark walking back to the north pole later in the movie. Stupid.

Ocean's 11... the whole deal with the money bags.
Still love the movie though.

Battle Los Angeles is one gigantic plot hole. also War of the Worlds, why the frick did martians put this shite in the planet just to kill us all when they could've just stayed there to begin with? and how'd they not pick up on the water thing?
also, i liked the new star trek but it bugged me that everyone just let kirk piss off spock until he attacked him but then spock was the arse hole and resigned his commission or w/e. and then in the end when spock fricks up the drill, why the hell didn't they just blow up the drill in the first place? boom, movie done in like 25 min
but what really bugs me is if the dude when back in time why did he just chill for 25 years to kill everyone instead of warning everyone there was gonna be a supernova in like 130 years

This is by far the most egregious one.

My gf and I love making fun of the Santa clause. Easily one of the easiest movies to pick apart. Ridiculous, annoying characters and huge lapses in reason and common sense. I know it's a kids movie but its so much fun to make fun of

arguable. He deciphered the alien language and the code and how to use their technology. He could have coded it to them somehow, right?

I think the genre of alien movies is the largest plot hole ever
You have to think. If a race is capable of reaching out planet, their technology must be obscenely far ahead of ours. They would absolutely pulverize us if there were any conflict. If they're capable of intergalactic travel, just imagine their weapons. We cant even put a man on mars
There's also the issue of whether or not they'd even think about letting us live. If they were that more intelligent than us, then what would be the point of letting us live? It would be the equivalent of us digging up an earthworm

Also, the aliens in Signs taking over a planet that is 70% composed of a lethal substance to their race. WTF?

I guess he used CrossOver (the program that allows Windows programs to run on Mac) but got the extraterrestrial edition

TDKR
John Blake somehow knows Selina Kyle kidnapped the congressman and for some reason was looking for her even though, as far as he is concerned, has nothing to do with shite. Also, he seems to just assume
1. She knows Bruce Wayne and knows
2. That Bruce Wayne is batman
