Holy Grail by a mile.
Life of Brian is pretty good too, but some of the bits fall flat.

Holy Grail pretty easily. It's the most consistently funny. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure every gag is funny.

They're all awesome, but Holy Grail is the best, so many parts that makes ya hurt from laughing in that movie. Especially the cave guardian part, we cried laughing until our cheeks hurt while watching all that...

Holy Grail is slightly funnier, but I respect The Life of Brian more. I think the later has a bit more of an argument for being the greatest comedy of all time due to how brilliant it was. Holy Grail is just completely off the wall, which is what makes it great. It’s pretty much apples and oranges to me. Both are in my Top 10 comedies but I’m always in the mood for Holy Grail but have to be in the mood to watch Life of Brian.

My brother and I rented the VCR tape of the Holy Grail when we were teenagers without knowing anything about Monty Python.
Anyway the opening scene with the squire clapping together coconuts behind his knight was kind of a surprise but we looked at each other kinda puzzled and then started laughing. Probably not the worst way to see your first MP.

Holy Grail is the holy grail of Monty Python movies.
Life of Brian is good, not great. It has it’s moments though, the fight between the old clerks and corporate raiders. The fat guy in the restaurant who explodes. The family selling their kids for coal. It’s all good.
Holy Grail is a masterpiece though.
