What are your thoughts on Harold and Kumar go to White Castle

I grew up as a teenager in the 2000s and as a 13 year old, this movie was incredible. I just started it again and while it is definitely dated, I’m still laughing at it and feeling pretty nostalgic about that very distinct early 2000s era especially in terms of pop culture. What’s the boards thoughts?
ETA: also this is actually a somewhat star studded movie considering where most of the actors are now.

NPH is hilarious in the first and second Harold and Kumars

Funny movie, but I prefer Guantanamo Bay to WC.
Like you said these movies are mostly nostalgia highs for me. I can easily see how a lot of people would think they are horrible, but screw them.

Rewatched it recently and it held up beautifully.
All time hot movie chick as Freakshows wife
The sequel was also very good. One of the better comedy sequels around

I still enjoy it. NPH snorting coke off the girls arse as they drive by is hilarious

I like all the Harold and Kumar movies. I think they're hilarious

classic stoner comedy. It was perfect for its era, but lost in a sea of other drug/alcohol-filled road trip movies with heavy emphasis on gross-out comedy. Definitely had a lot of funny moments and a good message overall.
Also, Escape from Guantanamo Bay is one of those rare examples of a sequel being even better than the original.
So many great gifs from this movie:

I like White Castle better but Guantanamo Bay is equally great. Both are comfortably in the upper tier of all-time comedies for me.

H&K go to WC is an all timer for me. I love that movie.
But Gitmo is in my Top 5 (probably) comedies ever. Rob Corddry is so fricking good in that movie and the racial humor is so spot on and pulled off so well that to this day just thinking about certain scenes will have me cracking up. Corddry jumping out the plane popping off rounds remains one of the great scenes in comedy to me. It's so dumb. So over the top and just fully bought into that I cannot help but crack up.

One of the few movies I've ever seen in the theater more than once.
Kumar? What's that like 5 O's and 2 U's?

I still love it. I don't think it's dated. It's a good buddy comedy that holds up.

I could eat a 5 course meal before pressing play and still get hungry just watching their plight

Don’t think I’ve ever encountered an IRL White Castle, haven’t spend much time in areas where they are prevalent, but I’ve had similar orgasmic satisfaction moments at the Krystal Burger off bourbon street in the past
