Restrepo ... 96% on Rotten Tomatoes

quote:

Photographer Tim Hetherington and journalist Sebastian Junger allow the realities of war to speak for themselves in this unnarrated documentary about a U.S. platoon in Afghanistan. The men of Second Platoon, Battle Company, 173rd Airborne Brigade teeter from naivete to weariness as months of alternating boredom and fighting take their toll. The loss of medic Juan "Doc" Restrepo leads the platoon to name an outpost in the remote Korengal Valley after him.

Anything by Errol Morris is worth a watch. I should have added Vernon Florida to the insane list, lol.

Long Shot - Long Shot Trailer

I guy in L.A. gets arrested for the execution murder of a girl that testified against his brother. Eyewitnesses even ID'd him as the shooter, he proclaimed full innocence but had no alibi...until they tied the timing together with the fact he was in Dodger Stadium at a game at the time of the shooting. I won't spoil how it turns out, but there is a very unlikely hero in the story.
