Who cares about reviews?
My wife's daughter, who is african american, was able to identify with the elves, dwarves, and hobbits since they now include people of color.
That is what's important here people. You need to remember that.

They held reviews for 72 hours then 2 days after that. It’s been widely reported. I don’t have Prime so I wasn’t even going to bother.

I'm not a huge LOTR fan and from what I've seen without trying to get too much info, some folks said it wasn't that woke it was just really boring early on

What is wrong with you? There is clearly a conspiracy to silence conservatives from giving The Lord of The Rings prequel bad reviews. The girl has a sword and black Hobbits are impossible.

The reason is actually pretty easily apparent, and it sort of baffles me how so many of you can’t seem to grasp it.
Telling partisans what they want to hear(along with peddling ideological fears and outrage) gets clicks, and clicks = revenue.
And business is much easier when you aren’t all that concerned with editorial accuracy.

The narrative always seems to be..if the public hates it and leaves bad reviews, they're "just trolls" or "bots."
That is prima facie evidence of what we always thought about "professional critics", newspapers, corporate media...the divide between the general public and elitist social engineering.
And frick Netflix too. They have a history of dishonesty, class action lawsuit 15 years ago for faking "not receiving DVD returns" so they wouldn't have to mail more out for people with larger DVD mail plans.
Now Netflix is facing another class-action lawsuit for failing to accurately report the declining subscribership and loss of profits to investors.
