There is also the matter of why Delos is so interested in the code.

Any chance we will see the world outside or Westworld? The characters have made several references and comments about the outside world not being what you think it is

I'm 99% sure that is what is going on. A human would have surely died from that. And the fact that she said "We're going to need him". No way would a human be able or willing to do anything after trauma like that, but as you've seen with Teddy earlier in the season, a host can be brought to the brink of death but can recover like nothing happened.

I'm on board with this. I think he's a host, too.

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought along these lines. I could be mistaken in the way that I interpreted them, but there have been a few choice things said that have lead me to believe that the world outside the park isn't a great place. Aside from the explosives on the spine. Could go back to the theory that the park is on another planet or asteroid, or could be that the world outside is some sort of dystopian mess.

That could set up a pretty cool ending/set up to Season 2. Clearing up the park story lines, and the cliff hanger being whats actually going on in the real world.

His acting is off the charts and this episode was the best he's been yet.
Finally, something we all can agree on. If he doesn't win an Emmy for this, he'll have been robbed.
The lightning quick run through and change of emotions when he went to attack Ford and then Ford ordered him to back down was amazing.
Also, I loved that scene because Ford shrank away from him.

Since we will have to wait over a year for season 2, I really hope the next two episodes wrap up/clarify some things:
1. I'll be disappointed if we don't get a definitive confirmation as to whether or not William is the MIB, as well as whether or not there are two timelines.
2. I definitely want to see some revelation about Arnold.
3. While I don't expect them to find the center of the maze, I hope they at least reach it, and I hope for some clarity about what the MIB hopes to find at the center.

Why would they confirm or deny something that they never even hinted at? This whole William is Ed Harris thing was something born on the internet out of pure speculation and theory-mongering. It's not a question they ever posed to the audience via the actual show.
Your other two expectations are totally valid though and I entirely agree with you on them.

I can't say that I agree with you. I'm starting to wonder if some of these theories are actually show/runner leaks to drive interest in the show. Virtually all theories about Season 6 Games of Thrones came true. The William = MIB, Bernard robot, Bernard = Arnold and multiple timeframes theories all started very early in the season. I was very skeptical about all of the theories until Bernard didn't see that door. I just don't believe there was enough evidence after one episode to come up with that theory unless it was simply a leak.

"Okay, well the only way you people saw that is because the show runner leaked it"
Jesus.

They almost beat you over the head with the Bernard as a host thing. Myself along with many others noticed the clues early on.

His memories of his son definitely reminded me of the memories of the hosts.

Confirming whether or not there are two timelines would probably take care of it.

let me see if I get this straight for you multi timeline folks:
- William and Dolores see the ruins of the "first town". Obviously it was old, destroyed. This means they are in the "present".
- in the old town, in her memory of the "incident time" the hosts are dumb, clunky, and still in training.
- in the "present" the hosts are smooth and well made.
- both MiB and William see practiced, smooth hosts. Therefore, both must be in the "present"
- Mauve is smooth and practiced, and so are all the hosts near her. Therefore she is in the "present".
But somehow, there are two timelines here?

I even tried going to another message board to see if there was actual show discussion, but it too was overrun by recycled shite they were getting from reddit or cum chugging bloggers like Sepinwall.
I guess for some people it really is difficult to follow a one hour weekly tv show, so instead of discussing what actually happened in the most recent episode they just race eachother to throw stupid theories at the wall and rehash shite they've stolen from other sites in a sad attempt to sound smart.

I only ever read these threads. I noticed Ford bringing up his son and Bernard dropping everything the first time, but didn't really think anything of it until somebody mentioned it here too. Then it happened again later. Also, I brought up the garden of eden allusions with Bernard=serpent/Satan, then someone expanded on that by saying Satan was created by God (Ford). It was all right there.
