I believe its Thor's brother, the security guy.

If you go back and watch, he drops some real subtle hints.

Am I the only one who thinks William killed the wounded soldier while Delores was getting water?

Didn't think about it but I can see it.

No, that's what I thought too.

At the end of the episode, Teddy stabbed with the arrow and "Wyatt's men" come creeping out of the woods...they sure looked a lot like remnants of Medieval World from the original movie.

Reminds me of 13th Warrior/Eaters of the Dead

Jeffrey Wright is killing it literally and figuratively as Bernard.

His acting is off the charts and this episode was the best he's been yet.

I haven't seen the original movie, but to me, they looked sorta like zombies.

MIB's backstory needed more fleshing out. It wasn't convincing as told. J

I thought it was very ironic that it came in the very episode where a character literally said the words "show, don't tell." Almost like they slipped it in as a nod to and a sort of apology for how anti-climatic the backstory was.

Well I believe the real back story is being shown real time, through Dolores' eyes. Whenever the MiB takes her into the barn, he says "lets get reacquainted, we can start from the beginning."

In Dolores' flashback he tells her that he's going to marry Juliet when he gets back home. A lot of references to Shakespeare in this show (whenever Ford tells Bernard about Arnolds tragedy and how it consumed him, he was talking about his son dying, which of course means that Bernards back story is actually Arnolds because they are one in the same. He actually references a lot of Arnolds short coming being portrayed by Bernard)
Anyway, the MiB says that he has been married for 30 years and references earlier he's been coming here and has known Dolores since then. The MiB said that he "owns this world" to teddy meaning he owns Delos, the same company that William and Logan worked for while coming scout the park. The critical failure they were talking about wasn't Dolores shooting everyone at the Beta park where the church is. That is actually being played out by Wyatt, whenever you look at Teddy's flashback they are in the same town that Dolores was in with the church, shooting everyone much like Dolores was in her flashback. I think the critical failure will either end in Logans death or Arnolds assuming he's still alive in the previous timeframe.

Wyatt's behavior could certainly be based off of Dolores' previous loop's behavior.
Watched the episode again last night. Holy shite, it never dawned on me that Sylvester is a motherfricking host! And Maeve did not even look surprised when she asked Felix to sew him up because they will need him. Whoa.

I'm starting to believe that all of the park employees are hosts.

Love the show but there is one thing that bugs the crap out of me. Of all the futuristic, crazy, out there things in the show I just cannot willfully suspend disbelief when it comes to Mauves storyline and her blackmailing the two butchers. They would have shut her down or reported her to higher-ups a long time ago. Each week that bothers the shite out of me.

It makes sense though if they are both hosts and Ford is allowing this to happen, perhaps even commanding them to make it happen. Maybe Ford is trying to reactivate Arnold's old code.

Me too man. That would be a glaring hole in the writing of this show. This would be the only explanation that would make it seem "realistic".

Is that what was going on? I thought it was some special futuristic healing tool he was using on him, I didn't consider that he was a host and felix was fixing it.

It first started with Maeve holding Sylvester's "side job" over his head and he didn't want to lose his real job. I think Felix just wants to see where it goes. Now they're in so deep they could potentially lose more than just their jobs. She's already threatened Sylvester's life. Hell, she damn near took it last week.
