Who is BK? Bill Skarsgard is the EP of the show. He's making big bucks for a 3 season deal.

That's not going to be the only tie-in to the greater Stephen king Universe. There will be a Pet Cemetery reference coming up.

The insane amount of cgi is kind of killing it for me tbh. Horror and cgi are not my thing. Only when it’s subtle. This is over the top man it’s killing the vibe.

But sure. I’ll finish it I guess.

The whole Black Spot plot in the book was really good. Glad they're having material about it in the show.

LOL. Saw "Derry" in the thread title and assumed this was about Derry Girls. Funny show, but I have to use subtitles to understand what they're saying half the time.

I wasn’t expecting it to be that intense, if that keeps up it can be great.

I read IT back in the mid 80’s. There is a lot of stuff I’ve forgotten about that book.

I liked the episode ok. The setting is giving me a Steven King mashup vibe. Along with IT the military base and experiments is giving me Mist vibes, I’m also getting some Shining vibes. It was a lot more gory than I expected but I’m ok with that.

One of the funniest things is the pitch meeting for the most current IT movie. Producer guy ask writer guy so how are these kids going to defeat this demonic entity. Writer guy come back with “child orgy”

Really enjoyed the first episode. There was some light "the real horror is racism" stuff, but its not over the top for any skeptics.

Kind of hope they move on from the baby and its not a recurring thing. Not that it was bad necessarily, but I want to see what else they can come up with. They honestly could have left it in the first scene and had something else chase them at the end and I would be ok with it, but maybe the baby is a reference to something else?
