BUT at the same time. Her partner in all this appears to be Will Reeves and he is obviously very much against the 7K and I assume he is the one feeding her information about Dr. Manhattan and how to "save the world" since Dr. Manhattan told him 10 years beforehand.

Seems more likely she is using the Will Reeves partnership to get the pieces she needs into place

It’s possible she is planning on betraying Will, or another possibility is Will knows she is working with the 7k, and she has told him she plans on wiping away the 7K/Cyclops for good and making the world a better place, stopping them from their plan, but making her own plan instead but is using them to get them into place

If I had to guess she's actually a good guy but they are just throwing in some stolen tech with her name on it to make it appear shes bad.

The thing about Watchmen is that there isn’t really a black and white “good vs evil” and a lot of it is up to interpretation. A lot of the themes involve collateral damage and means to and end type stuff. If Trieu is like (her father?) Viedt, then “saving the world” might not be all sunshine and rainbows as you would assume

Yeah I think Lady Trieu is using the 7K to get to Dr Manhattan. And I'm still standing by my theory that Veidt is her father, so her trying to create her own utopia makes sense.

Let not be so sure

The 7K has been using all Trieu technology during all this (her company logo is on all their tech)

She also does not seem to like Dr Manhattan, likely due to his Vietnam involvement.

She is close with Veidt for sure, and was in contact with him before his disappearance so It’s also possible that she does not know that Veidt chose to go to Europa and thinks that DM has in prisoned him against his will (and he may be her father of course)

She also has the clock tower thing going on, which the Petey files mention she gave everyone in Tulsa a TV, along with her owning all the Manhattan terminals, it seems like a natural connection that she plans on using the mind control tech in some capacity

I think it’s very possible she’s either working directly with the 7k, possibly helping them so that she can set up her own plan for changing the world how she sees fit, maybe to finally complete Ozymandias’s plan for Utopia.

Ok so thats more than i've thought it out to be.

I just think that her working for them would be just a little too predictable and yet again, another main character revealed to be working with them. I feel like there has bee enough "they're with the 7k too" reveals for one season.

More likely she is using them as a pawn than working “with” them.

Seems unlikely that we are going to have this clear cut villain/good guy final plot with DM/Reeves/Trieu/Vedit vs cyclops

No they didn't

I assume he actually was asking Dr. Manhattan to save him. Since they mutually agreed to put him there and he's the only one who knows he is there.

Just thinking about it. Man they have a lot of stuff they need to tie up in this season finale.

Lady Trieu has been monitoring Europa since before he was there, so it makes sense that he was saying “Save me daughter” so that she would see it.

DM knows he is there, but Veidt also knows he just gave DM a special ring that makes him completely forget he’s DM and anything else he would know so it would be kind of silly to ask him to save him knowing he has no way to see that message or know that.

hey couple of questions.

1. so when the asian chick turns on the clock; will this be used to help viedt escape europa? is the dissolved manhattan part of the plan; using the black chick's dad to go get him or something else?

2. veidt last dropped squids in 2009 from his lab in antarctica right before dr manhattan moved him to europa right? who's been dropping squids for the last 10 years if he's been on europa all this time? it looked like a process he had to be involved with when he as in his lab.

I don’t think so. That clock has much bigger plans than that. I think in the current timeline, Veidt is already on Earth we just haven’t seen him. Remember the plane that crashed in episode 2 or 3 when Trieu was buying that family’s house? I’m pretty sure that is Veidt and I’m pretty sure that took place before current events.

There’s also a theory that he is in the Veidt statue that was in her estate. Not really sure what the point of that would be but it’s a theory

quote:

is the dissolved manhattan part of the plan; using the black chick's dad to go get him or something else?

Again I believe that the Clock has much bigger intentions than anything we’ve been introduced to in the show. Personally (and I lined out the whole theory earlier in the thread) I think she has nefarious plans for Dr Mantatten herself and will betray Will Reeves or try to in some way (Reeves is Angela’s older father you’re talking about )

Trieu. When that flashback happened Veidt tells DM that he knows he has been on Europa because “an elephant told me” which is referencing Trieu and her company which is has a elephant logo and we saw them use an elephant for their nostalgia cure earlier this season.

Also in some of the Petey files, they talk about Trieu buying Veidt’s company and taking over his Antarctica estate, which is where he was causing the squids to come down

Why I’m enjoying this show after Lindelof drove me away from Lost:

How ‘Watchmen’ Pulled Off One of the Best TV Seasons of the Decade
quote:

“What I’ve learned over time is you need to know the answers to the mysteries,” says Lindelof. “If you don’t know those, you’re lost. Every time you come to an intersection, you won’t know whether to turn left or right.”

I think it helps that he only plans on doing one season of this story. Less guess work on when you need to reveal the secrets.

This show was masterfully mapped out from the first scene

I’ve watched this entire show. Thought it was good, but this is just garbage ending. This is just terrible pacing to end a show. They ran out of story and lost direction. It’s so bad the acting is horrendous too.

Y’all are crazy, that was a great ending. Edge of my seat all the way into the theater. Great show, great finale. Really hoping they come up with a compelling storyline for a second season

Ending was good. Couple little twists. And also left it open to a new season.
