Was it a bit premature??? All Walt knew was Jesse was showing up and Walt was armed. So many unknowns for Walt to take action there.

Weakest moment in the series and felt like the creator just wanted an ending.

Walt driving out to the location while on the phone gave away the location of the money and he was able to deduce he was being tracked almost immediately. He didn't know what was in store for him regarding Jesse and the thing he needed to protect most was underneath his feet, potentially at risk.

All Walt had to do was look at the picture he was sent and know that he would have been looking at more barrels than just the one, and he hid them further below the surface than the picture showed. Blinded by greed.

biggest question here is how did Hank have like 100k in cash on the ready to fake the barrel picture?

Walt had already put out a hit on Jessie with Jack, he was calling to let him know where he was and that he had other men with him.

Hank tells him this after he puts the cuffs on him... something like "Did you recognize the background... its where we had many family BBQs... Gomey bet me that you would notice the dirt wasn't the right color but I knew your greedy arse would be so worked up about your money, you wouldn't even notice"

Who would Jesse have with him at that point? Badger and Skinny P? Zero danger with Walt on the high ground armed.

Anyone... Walt dropped off bags of money at his house a few days before. Who's to say he didn't hire a hitman himself or protection after their interaction in the plaza when he told Walt he was done doing what he wanted him to do.... Walt obviously feared for his life bc that is when he turned around and called Todd to put the hit out on Jessie.

Jesse's money they'd confiscated.

Was it greed? To Walt it was his namesake. He earned that money, by hook or by crook. It's not greed in that he wanted to have it for himself, he wanted it to be given to his kids. Protecting an inheritance isn't greed. Nothing about anything Walt did was out of greed. Power, yes. Control, yes. None of it screams greed. If Walt was truly greedy, he'd have never messed anything with Fring like Ehrmantraut said. They had a good thing going. It was never about the amount of money, it was about earning enough to take care of his family when he was gone, which morphed into controlling something he was good at. He'd have done it for free if he had the chance.

Yeah, Walt was the kid that was “special”, but the showrunners had to scrap that future story line because the actor grew like 5 inches and developed a deep baritone voice over a summer.

Michael was his dad that, “I need to find my son!” means he kills Ana-Lucia and Libby and leads Jack, Kate and Sawyer into a trap to be captured by the others. Great guy, Michael. And to think there was a poster a few weeks back that thought Mr. Eko was somehow a bad character.

If I remember it correctly, he called him to bail him out at the actual burial sight. Knowing they were going to get him and take the cash
