So that only leaves Shatner and Takei still alive for them to carry on their personal feud that has been going on for decades.

We're losing them all. Always seemed to be a nice guy. Sorry he had to experience his son's suicide.

One of my favorite scenes is in The Trouble with Tribbles, when the Klingons are goading Chekov and Scott into a fight, and Scottie switches their drinks (Vodka and Scotch) while Chekov isn't looking.

And...

Basically.

What's interesting is that Koenig was always depicted as the "young" one on the show, but Takei was a year younger. Takei is 89.

Shatner, OTOH, is 95.

Kelly was the oldest on the show, though Doohan (Scotty) was only a couple of months younger; if they were still alive today they'd be 106.

No parent should have to bury their own child.

As much as it hurt losing my mom to illness while I was in my 20s, looking over and seeing my grandmother and grandfather at my mom's funeral is a memory that still wrecks me to this day.

For suicide I can only imagine it was far, far worse... at least with my mom's illness we knew it would eventually happen.

RIP Chekov

Apparently no one from TOS liked Shatner. They almost all had a moment of calling Shatner out at one time or another.

Is that from Star Trek 4?

The USS Enterprise was based in Alameda, and later the USS Carl Vinson.

Yeah, sadly Shatner is kind of a douchebag.

He was such a good bad guy as Alfred Bester on Babylon 5.

Koenig always seemed to defend him a bit, even while acknowledging his d-bag ways. He always seemed to take the high road.

They did a Columbo together in the 70s, but Walter said Shatner didn't remember who he was.

It debuted in 1987, so it will turn 40 next year.

Pretty sure that girl who gave them directions 'across the bay' was a random person on the street the director just asked if she wanted to say a line. Forget the whole story, but imo, she nailed it.

You only need to listen to him talk for about 30 seconds about literally anything to realize this.
