Pretty sure that girl who gave them directions 'across the bay' was a random person on the street the director just asked if she wanted to say a line. Forget the whole story, but imo, she nailed it.

She was an extra. They were told not to answer the actors, just look at them strangley, but she ad-libbed the line.

Nimoy liked it, and they signed her on as part of the SAG.

Hate to be that guy, but it's "...in our bodies." I like his delivery in that scene.

Shat calls Takei a day player

No idea what beef he has with Koenig. Might just be lead player syndrome.

I knew it was something random. I thought I remembered her getting a parking ticket or something because they closed off the area for the movie shoot… Either way it’s a cool story.

So that only leaves Shatner and Takei still alive for them to carry on their personal feud that has been going on for decades.

In that case, is there any of you figs that want to feud with me for the next 30 odd years?

Shatner was notoriously self-centered and would ignore other actors, blow lines on purpose in scenes where the opposite actor was getting too much attention, etc. Almost everyone had a beef with him. His relationship with Nimoy was very hit or miss over the course of the years. Takei was probably the most vocal, but Koenig also made public comments. Maybe Shatner got along with Kelly perhaps?

Btw, just to add, the reasons they’re the two remaining are:

1. Their decades long feud.

2. They both had guest starring roles on Psych.

Shatner has openly discussed this, with Takei, and it's not any secret. George continues to act like a scorned 13 yr old girl, and Shatner just goes on about his life being Shatner.

Everyone seemed to love Kelly.

Unfortunately, Shatner and Nimoy were not speaking when Nimoy passed.

Possibly his best scene... Chekov interrogated aboard the "nuclear wessel"

Kelly got along with pretty much anyone, and he was - by far - the most experienced actor on set. He knew how to blow stuff off and get the job done.

Nimoy (debut 1951 - age 20) had been in H'wood almost as long as Kelley (debut 1947)

FWIW I was in the same room as DeForrest once!!!

He pulled standard upstaging tricks, such as trying to keep the other actor's face out of his over the shoulder closeups (a favotrite trick of Jack Lord & Kirk Douglas) and insisting they were "short on time" and it was too late for other actors' CUs (Ward Bond often pulled this on Wagon Train; Michael Caine claimed Olivier did this on Sleuth).

Per Koenig, Shatner had Chekov's best lines in "Gamesters of Triskelion" given to Kirk.

Nimoy, who could be quite pompous, was not terribly popular w/castmates. But Shatner was hated.
