I was in Mexico this summer and I took a girl out for dinner. She wanted to go see a movie and promised me i had subtitles. Well it started out ok there were subtitles but about 5 min it was gone. I really wanted to leave but she was my ride and didn't want to leave.
You spent a summer in Mexico City and didn't want to watch a movie because it was in Spanish?
So much for immersion.

Same here.
I almost walked out of Synecdoche, NY which I saw today. What a pretentious bloat of a film. I almost injured myself rolling my eyes.
At least Emily Watson got naked.

I also walked out on Kung Pow - Enter The Fist

Now remembering that I fell asleep while watching Titanic. I've never done that unintentionally before. (Taking the kids to some crappy Nickelodeon movie, I'd usually take a quick nap.)

"The Thin Red Line"--I don't know how long the movie actually lasts, but I left after what seemed like at least 3 hours of it going absolutely nowhere.

Ever walked out of a movie in theaters, and if so, which one?
Nope.
The closest I've come was Baseketball, which is funny because I absolutely love that movie now.

I walked out on Time Bandits. I was only about 8 or 10 years old at the time.
You must be chemically altered to enjoy this Terry Gilliam POS.

Wishmaster. Saw Wes Craven's name on the poster and thought "haven't seen a good horror flick in a while." Little did I know he only produced it. I lasted about 15 minutes.
love that movie

Never.
Closest I've ever come was "The Killing Fields." My roommate thought it was too liberal and kept after me to leave. I made him wait in the car.

10 minutes into Contact. Didn't know what it was about until it started, had to get out of there.

Only movie I have walked out in is Woody Allen's " Scenes from s Mall." I really like a lot of his movies but he and Bette Midler were beyond putrid. No plot, left after 20 minutes. I think it was the worst movie I have ever seen.

The African American audience can be an entertaining experience for us while fole (if you're in the right mood).
Watching Dana Carvey's Master of Disguise movie, there's a point where the villain (Brent Spiner of Star Trek) says, "What do I look like, an idiot?" To which the black woman behind me screams, "No! You LOOK like Data on Star Trek!"
I also had the pleasure of watching Aliens with a mostly black audience. It was obvious that a lot of folks hadn't seen Alien, and when the shite hit the fan, their reactions were awesome.

That would be awesome.
Scary movies + black audience = greatness
