You really bought in on this, huh?

None of this requires a dynamic entry, no knock raid on a compound filled with women and children.

What you are looking at is grenade bodies (practice)

Which is what they were purchasing. Which are then made into novelty items like the following (which you sell at gun shows);

You are not going to convert them into an actual grenade with black powder. Please tell me you do not believe that.

They were obviously heavily armed and were modifying weapons. They defeated the assault soundly.
They were armed to the same extent that the ATF were. They were able to fight the ATF to a draw.

As a weapons dealer they were subject to direct inquiries by the ATF. The warrants have never been shown to be unjust or speculation.
Patently false. The warrant was flimsy at best. And they were invited by David Koresh to examine the property. The ATF refused.

They were prepared to fight to the death.
They possessed the means to defend themselves and used it.
quote:

They ignored a court order and opened fire. They openly attacked US agents. The ATF had the legal right to go in and be there.
This is entirely speculation on your part. There is ample evidence that the ATF fired first and the Davidians defended themselves. You simply disregard it for the sake of your narrative.

Then why were they investigated so many times. Why did local law enforcement track them so closely. Why were there numerous articles depicting them as loons and calling for the government to step in, state or federal.
Falsehoods and mistruths. Through and through. Well done.
quote:

They went to war with the government. They boxed themselves in and wished for death. Then many commited suicide. They forced a resolution.
All while sitting on their compound not harming anyone. Yes, that is exactly what happened.
quote:

Of course the agencies f'd up. Its all recorded and they took huge black eyes. Tactics have been changed and corrected as a result. They could have and should have done many things differently. But the BDs were evil and committing evil acts. Something had to be done. Them dying and the agencies messing up doesn't exonerate them at all..
There you have it. They were evil and they deserved it.

It's against the law. Doesn't have to be any harm. I could snort coke all day and make the same arguement but again, it's against the law.

The problem with the illegal weapons is the feds made it real hard for anyone to take their word on it. They didn't let the defense inspect their evidence for the trial and when they let them see some of it some of the things they labeled as suppressors were ordinary items and some of the things they labeled as grenades were their own CS gas canisters they didn't admit they even used until like 1999. Yes, it is proven through testimony that they lied about using these canisters for years before they did in front of Congress. The Feds made it real hard for anyone to believe any of the shite they said about the event. Kinda like how the Texas Rangers found bullet casings at Lon Horiuchi's location after the April 19th ending of the seige and then the FBI who claimed they never fired a shot on April 19th was like oh the ATF must of left it, when the ATF didn't use that location for the original February raid when they were actually firing shots.

This is a weird thread. Binged it. I'm interested in reading more into it. Hard to remember everything back then.

Felt like Netflix made the cult too likeable. You could tell early that the entire skew of the show would be about the big bad government. In this day, it resonates with folks.

At times I thought they made Nesser a puss sometimes. He NEVER offered any additional strategy aside from talk and unlimited time. That's not practical. Yes, I understand that's his job and that's what he does but still

The entire thing was a cluster frick. Operation went sideways. Fire was incidental and obviously unplanned but should have been foreseen as a possibility.

All together I liked the series. Very entertaining.
