My favorite part of these happenings are:
How it started
SW fans: TLJ is bad.
Disney fans: You’re just not smart enough to understand how great TLJ is. People will look back and realize how great it is!
How it’s going
SW fans: TLJ is still bad.
Disney fans: LEAVE THE KIDS SHOW ALONE!!

Variety getting a lot of clicks from tigerdroppings lately.
I read the reviews in the article and they were all positive except for 2.
Funny they put both the negative reviews in the tweet and only one positive review when the article has more positive reviews. Clickbait always prevails.
Sounds like a fun theatre flick

“It’s less about the lore and more a fun, freaky romp across the galaxy. I really dug that about it,” Fandango’s Erik Davis posted on X in one of the most positive takes. “Also really dug Ludwig Göransson’s score, especially the parts that felt like an homage to ‘80s synth-driven horror and action thrillers… It reminded me how fun ‘Star Wars’ can be when it stops worrying about canon homework and just cuts loose. Treat it like a pulpy Saturday matinee ride and you’ll have a blast.”

Variety is a shill for dei wokeness, and you're complaining? You know they're the biggest and most respected trade out there, right?
cope. harder.

I actually like Last Jedi, while realizing it's definitely got some issues. I absolutely despise Rise of Skywalker though.

If you take the force awakens as a movie when it was released and dont factor in what came after it people enjoyed it.
The Last Jedi you cant say the same. Its evident by how much the box office opening dropped from VIII to IX and from Rogue One to Solo that a lot of people fell off specifically after TLJ.

And from what Gore said the reaction wasn’t mixed. It was non existent in a packed theatre.

Do you know who you quoted in your review you loved?
A FANDANGO EMPLOYEE. THEY WANT TO SELL MOVIE TICKETS

They fricked up selling out the series to the almighty Grogu toy merchandizing greed. They had a great end path to continue the episodic SW Western when Grogu left and immediately brought him back.
I like some S3 things, but it was a narrative mess and nit even Sackoff could help. Now we get a film to a series 4 years later of a character that popped up in two different series that you need to have watched to understand and what did these chuckle fricks expect?
Worse was slaving this show to the shitty Disney sequel.

Exactly. A lot of member berries of older things, but not the types of cameos people were expecting. Not great, not terrible, but probably too long for its target audience. Kids around the age of 12.

If Disney had any integrity, they would stop milking Star Wars and let it die with the exception of the re-releases of the original movies. It’s beyond absurdity at this point.

Then why did you watch them in the first place?
I knew immediately from the get go that the sequels were gonna be absolute dogshit. Didn’t even bother to watch any of them because it was painfully obvious that Disney was going to disregard all of the suggestions that GL gave them for making the sequel movies

You ever wonder why people dont respect your opinions?

The force awakens was a decent start even if it was formulaic.
Last Jedi could have led to something amazing but it screwed the entire universe

If you saw Force Awakens and didn’t realize something was wrong you just didn’t want to see the problems.
