IIRC, they wanted to make a Blade movie in which Blade took a backseat to a young female lead.

Well, that's a colossally bad idea. Blade is one of those characters that's gonna be in almost every scene of a movie, kicking vampire arse. A quick search says that the script in question had Blade as the fourth lead in his own movie, behind three women. No wonder Ali said "frick this" and walked.

Why is it racist that Disney canceled a TV show starring a black guy, but not racist when Disney made the TV show with that same black guy despite him not looking like this?
Asking for all the people that didnt watch the Disney TV show, that ended up getting it cancelled due to low viewership

I know Ali didn’t provide the voice, but the coolest character in the whole Marvel Zombies show was easily Blade. His fight with Ghost was slick.
