I was tapped to work on this but was told pre production has been an utter shitshow. It's shooting in Covington, GA in early April. The fact that they're just now locking down the principal cast is unsurprising.

I actually would be fine with seeing the Potato play Velma. She's not supposed to be attractive and Bella Ramsey has the nerd look down pat.

Its going to be hard to beat Matt Lillard as Shaggy.
Like id put him in the top 3 best casted actors in movie history based on a book/game/cartoon show live action.

Dude was so good in the live action role that he parlayed it into the animated voice role following Casey Kasam.

I first remember seeing her in Gifted.
I thought it was interesting that everything she seemed to show up in after that was a role where the character was of above average intelligence.

She famously played Faith Newman for a while on Young & the Restless around the time she did Gifted, too. The other young girl who played the same character (I want to say they alternated for a while), Alivia Alyn Lind, comes from a pretty big acting family, and Alivia's big sister was in The Babysitter and I believe played the ghost who was into McKenna Grace's character in GB: Frozen Empire.

I saw this on tv recently and thought to myself, "I wonder who that little actress was, and if she has since done anything else." If I had googled it and saw who it was I would have been shocked to see it was the same girl on Young Sheldon. Would never have guessed.
