ITT: List a bunch of widely acclaimed movies and call them under appreciated.

LA Confidential won 2 Oscars and was nominated for 7 more for goodness sake. A real hidden gem there.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Normally not into that kind of genre, but I enjoyed it.

Exam (2009)
Time Lapse (2014)
Triangle (2009)

I think these are little gems of sci-fi horror or thriller...

Never got the love say for instance Cube or Saw received.

And Time Crimes might have been the best of all these movies - but it did get some critical praise.

This board appreciates Glengarry Glen Ross but it's largely unknown to the masses.

Baldwin's speech isn't the best part.

... It's Ricky Roma's monologue in the Chinese restaurant. Life is what you make it and perception is everything. In other words a counter to Baldwins brass balls speech.

The Drop. It's almost as good or equal to A History of Violence but doesn't get anywhere near the amount of mentions.

Yep.

I posted that earlier with 3 other movies that are somewhat similar...

Three Con-Artist movies that should be more appreciated because they are so re-watchable and good.

1. Nine Queens (one of the best con-men movies I've ever seen) - LINK

2. Matchstick Men (Cage, Rockwell)

3. Tin Men (Dreyfuss, DeVito)

Check them out. Especially the top one.
