I mean no way I'm seeing Gullivers Travels. But I think Jack Black is pretty hilarious. It's hard to hate on comedians for being one dementional because so many of them are.
I loved Orange County
Envy
School of Rock
Nacho Libre
The Year One
Shallow Hal
A few others. I mean some of those aren't for everybody but he cracks me up. He's just naturally funny in real life too.

I can't decide which was worse: Gulliver's Travels or Winnie the Pooh. Jack Black was horrible. You may like him in his other movies, but this one performance is unforgivable. If a good guy who has done good all his life murders someone, should he be forgiven because he has done so much good in his life? Jack Black's performance was murder.

Your review for Harry Potter has no credibility because you have not seen the other movies (or read the books). The movie isn't meant to be seen without seeing the previous movies. Everything you were confused about was explained in the earlier movies. Storywise it was not meant to stand alone, I don't know why/how you don't get that.

If there is a cabinet maker who has had a great reputation around town for years and has always done great but on one job he screws up the cabinets? Does he lose his good reputation?
There are other ways to look at it.

I liked him in The Holiday, but I also saw that movie with my Beloved, so that may sway my opinion. But your point is well made and noted.

For all the hurt HP fans, I will be seeing the final chapter today. Review to follow.

There's no need for such language on the Movie Board. We're all civilized, respectable posters who can articulate our thoughts without the need to stoop to vulgarity.
It seems a universal opinion that I am missing out by seeing the movies in order. But I am willing to sacrifice my own viewing pleasure for the sake of those who have not seen any of the HP movies and want to see the latest movie, which has received so many congratulations. These fellow HP-ignorant viewers need someone in their shoes as well.
FWIW, I added my review of Monte Carlo. Off to HP in a few..........

Well done sir. I can now plan my few hours of movie-watching off of this thread.

Am I the only one that noticed he gave the Justin Bieber movie a good score? I can't believe no one has commented on this yet

Oh I agree. I just find it funny. I mean, I know he's trolling, but people still comment on why he's dumb for not liking HP, then totally dismiss his score for the Bieber movie.
