Solid episode last night. I assume there are people pissed off at it, but I enjoyed it.
I actually rewatched the series over the weekend on vacation and am glad I did...such a great show. Can't wait to see how they wrap things up next week.

She had to have married the guy she met in the bar.. No other reason for that scene.
The "reason" was to get back at Marty. She didnt go through with it because she knew it would cause more damage if she did it with someone he knew (Rust). Thought that was pretty obvious. She even said as much.

That's the Sheriff killing himself. Looks like he is holding up his gun to his left side of his head. Yes, you're looking through the scope of the rifle of the bar owner.
I really liked the bar that Rust was working at, my kinda place.

After watching the scene again where she tells Marty she fricked rust, Marty almost didn't even look all that pissed when he thought it was just some random dude. But when she said it was rust, oh it's time to choke her out

Everyone on here after last weeks previews of this episode said that was Marty's daughter either in the pics or video. What ever happened with that?
I never saw her
It was Marie Fontenot, the missing girl from the LSU baseball player.
I like how they use the Sheriff, as we all know, the Sheriff is the most powerful person in each Parish.

That was the point. She specifically said that she chose Rust because she knew that's waht it would've taken to push Marty over the edge and give her what she wanted (them apart). She told that specifically to both Rust and Marty.

Yea I knew that was the point. Just thought his reaction was funny

You know what i don't get is why rust was "seeing things" like the birds in the spiral but then we never saw that kind of "vision" again

I rewatched After You've gone twice last night and I really think its one of the best overall episodes. it starts to tie in little clues about the tuttle's , old sherrif's the reason why so many reports could come up "made in error". Pretty clear at this point this F'd up Sam tuttle family and his illegitimate extended famlies have been engaging in this sick twisted mix of santeria/voodoo/courir mardi gras and some occultish type ritual sexual abuse of young girls for decades or even centuries. its has spawned some even more F'd up progeny who raised in that stuff...Errol and his cousins the Ledoux brothers...I think Senator and Reverend Tuttle recognized the signs and symbols of Dora Lange killing and wanted to put the kibosh on it before any investigation might lead back to their F'd up family cult. Not sure they even knew who exactly it was that was doing the killing, but they knew it was someone in their group. There is no telling how many family law enforcement connections that can be traced back to the powerful Sam Tuttle, creating a decades long network in all of the major institutions layered well enough so they would never be exposed.
I'm coming to peace with the idea that we likely won't see the majority of the involved perps come to justice. it sucks we didn't get to see Billy Tuttle meet his death even if by his own hand. I hope they in some way end up at least exposing to the light of day the other people involved with covering it up for so long...I think its going to mostly focus on Errol though in episode 8. The ultimate success of the finale is going to ride on Glenn Fleschlers performance. He has only had 3 minutes or so of screen time the entire series so he has a lot of work to do in the last episode

I'm afraid Marty saw Audrey on one of those orgy tapes.

I think it can be ruled out that neither of Marty's daughter's was involved..
First, there's only one tape, the tape Rust made him watch. Two, his reaction would have been to go on a full blown murder spree if one of his daughters were in that video. Immediately when he saw the children at Le Deaux's he snapped and put a bullet into him.

Can't wait for the finale. This show is amazing.

so the chances of a nice and neat resolution are pretty slim, right?
not that it would be a negative or anything

I don't think they have enough time left to "tie a bow on it". I am just expecting chaos and for a large majority of the culprits to die, possibly Rust as well.

I think it's slim, but it's going to be a great episode.
Marty and Rust are very similar in 2012 IMO. Pizzolatto explained it very well in the "Behind the Episode" video: that they're both isolated in 2012 and all they do after work is go home. It wouldn't surprise me if one or both of them passed away in their last stand in Carcosa. Neither of them seem to have much else to live for at this point.

Probably, but not completely.
If Maggie's Dad is still in play, Audrey being involved somehow is still possible.
All we know about Audrey is what Maggie told Marty about the whole being an artist thing in New Orleans- Maggie could be a lying POS for all we know.
