Devil's advocate here...
I think there are only two plausible reasons he would have started the fire: 1) if he has been investigating these disappearances the whole time (which I previously said I thought could be the case) or 2)he is a member of the cult (which I think is fairly obvious that he is not).
If 1 is the case, he found Dora's body and did all of that shite to draw attention to the murders; however, I think he would have planted some evidence to more easily point the others into the right direction.
If 2 is the case, then that is gay and SFP would be right.

Soooooo pumped for this episode.
I've been avoiding any spoiler threads as well as any trailers, but I've got a strong suspicion that most of these crazy theories will be put to rest Sunday night.
I'm of the opinion that there may not be a single Yellow King, and if there is, then we have not met him yet. Also, I'm pretty sure Decatur's theory will be destroyed Sunday night, at least I hope it is for the sake of this thread.

here is an old link that I had never seen. Interestingly they give as much time to Gilbough as to Hart and Cohle in this preview. Think he will get more screen time in the last few episodes.

Did anyone else notice Cohle's understated line to Marty after Marty wasted Ledoux? After firing off the AK rounds Cohle turns to Marty and says "glad you finally committed to something."
