I'm digging the screen cap of The Daily Advertiser. I'd like to know more information on this "Angle of Mercy' article in the right column. One of the lines at the end talks about the "haunting, yet beautiful ... statues that guarded the ... entrance." Might be a coincidence, but it reminded me of the statues of Mary in the abandoned school house.

Also, an "Angel of Mercy" serial-killer could describe the murders of prostitutes and the like in this show. From Wikipedia:

quote:

The angel of mercy is often in a position of power and may decide the victim would be better off if they no longer suffered from whatever severe illness is plaguing them. This person then uses their knowledge to manufacture the death of the victim. As time goes on, this behavior escalates to encapsulate the healthy and the easily treated.

Angel of Mercy = King in Yellow?

This seems plausible, and that they are "cleansing" these women by sacrificing them; however, how then do you explain that they seemingly recruit or take young innocents?

Or it could be referring to Marty and Rust as angels of mercy when they killed Ledoux and his partner

Good read by WSJ:

quote:

“I’ll tell you about The Yellow King,” the man said. And it all came undone.

Throughout “True Detective,” Marty Hart has harped on the detective’s curse, that the solution to the mystery is often right under your nose but you still can’t see it. By the end of “The Secret Fate of All Life,” as Detective Rust Cohle creeps through the abandoned husk of Light of the Way Christian Academy, where he finds hieroglyphs of dead children and a thicket of dusty devil’s traps, we have to wonder if he knows he let the answer slip away. How might Hart and Cohle’s story have played out had Rust continued questioning the lawnmower man two episodes ago? What if Marty hadn’t honked the car horn and sent he and Rust careening to the bayou compound of Reggie Ledoux and, instead, searched the school together?

Depends in the car/ truck, she could be hanging out of the back window of the truck so one dude is inside and the other is on the bed.

yeah, I can only think because they have a twisted view that Reggie's special drug making abilities give him virtue. IDK.

I wish Reggie would have smiled right here, like he was expecting it.

The next part, graphic.

No clue. I'm just throwing out questions based on the article in the right column. From what I can tell, it is referencing an Angel of Mercy hospital being closed, and it may not have a thing to do with the story, but I couldn't help but notice it and ask the question.
