Not if this character is tied into Tuttle, the church backstory, and Ledoux.

I think we're too late in the season to be introducing new characters.
why?
we don't know anything about the cult in reality. it's a lot better, imho, to introduce the bad guy (when we know almost nothing about the group) from a secret cult than to try and "fit in" an established character

Technically it wouldn't be introducing a NEW character. Just that you're seeing that characters face for the first time.

I think there is room for one more maybe. who is left?
lawn guy
grandpa
tuttle
tuttle's cousing the pastor
marie fontenot
marie's dad
the last two haven't been introduced but I have a feeling they come back into the story.

Perhaps. The thing with LSD is that such a miniscule drop of it (literally a tiny drop of liquid) can trip you out for half a day. Very easy to dose kids at that school.
Yes, but I don't see some meaning of its use in the story except that it is a hallucinogenic. Been used by many many groups that are trying to brainwash people.

Hart is the old English word for deer

I agree. Also from a writing perspective, you have to believe that some of these back stories are just decoys to make you think that certain people are the yellow king. I.e. the whole tuttle thing could be bullshite.

How is a shepherd a hypocrite if he's shepherding? Is a priest a hypocrite if he's sacrificing and not the sacrificed?

If that happens I think everyone here will adopt the SFP "all shows are destined to end terribly" approach.

Hart is not an old english word. It's just an english word. The old english is heort.

in this context, i believe so
it's similar to the opulence of the catholic church in light of jesus's teachings about being rich
at the least it's a priest excusing his actions in order to remain on this reality, which is a reality he/she claims to reject

I really don't see how anyone could think that Marty had a hand in the murder of Dory Lange. Just no way.
