Why is rust in what looks like his own house with a flashlight and deer antlers on the table? Also is a bottle of Jameson and a devil trap. What does it mean?
Someone trying to pin it on Rust?

It's seems like 3 more hours won't be enough.
Maybe we get a two hour finale?

The man with the scars...He made me watch
How eerie is that line from the girl at the end of next week's preview??
Who is the man with the scars?

This is my thought too. Her slutty lifestyle and hanging out with losers is going to lead her to the cult though
I think her slutty lifestyle is a result of her being involved from a young age.

Way too simplestic. The way this show is done with one writer and one director is going to change the way quality TV is done forever.
It is truly like watching a feauture film, with 8 episodes.

Could be as others have suggested that rust finds dirt on the old man and it causes he and Marty to split
Yeah, and Marty didn't want to hear it because he was just reconciling with his wife.

This show keeps delivering.

thinking Rust dropped off the grid because he considers the police to be so intertwined with the cult of the Yellow King
That's what I said tonight. No doubt in my mind that he went rogue. Hence him being on the scene in Lake Charles.
Ryno also brought up his storage being full of evidence and he doesn't want them to see it. It makes sense.
Again, starting to think that the fallout involves Marty's daughter.

This will be the most painful and exciting three weeks of waiting for a TV show. I would not be able to take this if this story was multi seasons

Maybe he's using the antlers and sculpture as a device to help him get insight. Or he's trying to figure out how the crown is made.

When y'all say "the daughter" is involved are y'all referring to Marty's daughter from this episode or Rust's daughter? Do we know for sure what actually happened to Rust's daughter?

With his "company men" remark, I think he believes the two detectives may be somehow connected to the cult, directly or indirectly,
I think he just sees them as pawns that don't even know why they are going after him. Just doing what they are told.

Marty's daughter. Although I expect we are in for a bombshell revelation with Rusts' girl.

Marty's daughter. I think Rust's is legit dead.

The girl was definitely introduced to this cult at a young age. Remember what she was doing with the dolls a few episodes back? What she did in the car is normal to her. Its what she came to know in her childhood. The gramps is definitely involved. Doesn't he say some pretty screwed up shite while walking in the back yard at his house?

Yeah, George Remus isn't just going to be some guy who mowed lawns. He's going to become more relevant just like Eli.

Referring to Marty's daughter, but I do have an inkling this cult may have been involved in the death of his daughter, which is what brought him to the case in the first place.

Exactly what I'm saying
The drawings and barbie doll scene tell you she's been involved since a child. Abuse leads girls to be sluts very often.

Yep. Tuttle as well. All 3 will play a role. I definitely think Remus comes back. After all, this episode ended with Cohle back at that school.
