I guess SFP wanted TD to end like an episode of Full House where Danny gathers the family together and while piano music plays, explains what lessons should have been learned from the episodes for those that missed it.

that's exactly what i have been discussing

also, to clarify: the house with the green paint was a house they found while canvassing after the lange murder, right?

Yeah that's how I interpreted it.

Was the Fontenot girl's body actually found at Errol's place?

i don't think they went into that in detail. could be wrong...wasn't listening to the news cast part b/c by that point it was irrelevant and just an attempt to wrap up some loose ends

The 1995 home owner was in the nursing home in 2012 and her husband had taken a tax deduction for the home improvement. The paperwork that the husband had filed put them on the Childress trail.

He does not appear to have enjoyed the fricking he received from the show.

he didn't frick me doe. i had already given up weeks ago. the only issue was whether i'd be proven right about there being enough time to resolve the cult plotline, and i was right...and it tastes glorious

but i'm sure i'm about to hear it from tons of people who posted over adn over again about the plot/mystery the past 2 months who now don't give half of a frick about it. total 180 the past 24 hours

sfp, I would like to thank you for helping me get closer to my 20,000th post via this thread. My goal is to get there before GoT resumes. I just need more days where my patients don't show up.

There was enough time.

The cult plotline was resolved.

Game over, man. Game over.

where did i say that walter white was realistic?

plus walter white actually had some legit character development. we got to see him completely change over time. rust? not at all

also, the very nature of their positions...and this plays into the character development. when walter white was working within a bureaucracy, he was a completely different (and very realistic) character. when walter white was freed from the "slavery of society" and becomes independent, he's allowed to find his true self (and it's not pretty)

ignoring the fact that rust doesn't change, as a character is allowed to be a complete weirdo within a bureaucracy/social structure. that is not realistic. "present" rust is very possible, but 1995-2002 rust was...not (at all).

but i thought the "realism" was the reason why the plot was left like swiss cheese? b/c that happens in real life

this is what i mean by the grey. what exact evidence is there of this, exactly?

we can guestimate and interpret, but i could say he's just doing the bidding of a yellow king that never appeared on screen and be just as right

Well I just have to disagree. There is no evidence whatsoever that your suggestion is the case, whereas Erroll says in the finale that he discovered something on his own, and that the Ledoux brothers were his acolytes.

i didn't hate the show

it was mediocre-goodish. like a 6.5-7.0/10

quote:

why did you even watch it?

i had 10/10 expectations and held out a hope that it would redeem itself after i gave up on that a few weeks ago

i couldn't resist posting after last night's episode when it completely invalidated about 90% (min) of the discussion about the show, because i knew that people would just shift their expectations again
