And green paint???? C'mon. A better connection would have been the sound canceling headphones that lawnmower men typically use.
Agree. I thought maybe Errol was wearing them in his first scene but he wasn't.

Guy on the mower is the killer. they interviewed him before any of the other events.
I have to believe that the writers ran out of episodes and had to resolve it quickly with this ending, that basically jettisoned all the good stuff that built up. Then the 80s style "cop movie" happy ending.

it's not a dead end
it was convoluted as all hell, though, and with only 8 episodes (and a lot of stuff left out in the wind), time could have been used a lot better.

What part of the story did the rundown green house picture come from? Why was it hanging on the wall?

Haha. I thought it felt like something familiar.

Thank you NP, you delivered my man....had a grown man transforming from cynicism to faith as a result of his experiences...wasn't even about the Tuttle's and Childress's...it was about the humanity and spirits of Rust and Marty and how Good always wins in the End:)

They didn't interview him. They spoke to him when they were looking into the school. He wasn't even on their radar.
Most of the good shite that was built up they resolved. The red herrings that were pointless and fan created you frickers kept chasing down the rabbit hole were not. There was no need.

It was in the neighborhood where they were questioning people following the Lange murder, and where they first heard about Fontenot.

So are we to assume Marty found a phone and called the cops? That's a loose end/ish that I was confused about. Haven't read the thread yet.
Another new loose end that I'm aggravated about...Marty's daughters.
Overall, thought the finale was badass.

The show allowed me to see what's her name's tits. I will always be thankful for that.

I'm assuming she gave up her phone when Marty put the pistol to her face and demanded it.

It is a detective story, red herrings and false leads are pretty much classic detective story tropes.

The set him up to be the killer in episode 5 (I think). They didn't "run out" of anything or just slap together an ending.

Does anyone have any theories about what the swirling, glowing, blue, black vortex was?
Posted on 3/9/14 at 11:23 pm to Puck82
I dont have a problem with the green paint connection. It was more about the fact that the house was painted, his ears being green was just a guess and something to further investigate. I do think that came together very quickly and might have been better if they stretched what happened in ep 8 into two episodes and gave us more information on the whole plot of the bad guys.
Questions:
Why was Errol speaking sophisticated british near the beginning of the episode?
What ever came of carcosa and the yellow king? What/who exactly are they?

Rust sees shite.

A hallucination. They spoke about rust seeing things on the way there. He said he still did. I think that's all it was
