The very ending like the last 10 minutes or so left me kinda hanging for a bit cause idk maybe I just expected more. After thinking through all the details I absolutely loved it and not sure this show can be topped for awhile

End of tthe day, that was a story of friendship, I think. The ups and downs, the betrayals, the loayalty, the problems and reconciliations.
Awesome 8 hours.
Yep.

I also don't think it was necessarily all happiness. For all we know, Rust could have gone home and kill himself to try to get back to his daughter.
Sounds horrible, but I kinda wish it would have turned out that way.

We don't know that his dad was Ted childress. Said his dad was William Lee childress at least that is who the childress and sons painting service was listed under. He may have been a nephew it was all one big effed up lineage of Sam tuttle

So, any theories on the ferry boat at the end of the last episode. I still can't understand why they lingered on it so much.

No theories to be made. Just a pan out overhead shot

True. I'm not trying to nitpick. Just curious.

Maybe a nod to the fact that the killer traveled all up and down the coast to kill. Or just a nod to Louisiana in general.

Pretty sure there was nothing behind that. Just a pan out shot. I think someone said it was symbolic of the plot moving forward.

Almost time for GoT. HBO is the only reason I still pay for cable.

Can't believe it all ended in Sulphur off the creole nature trail on 27 south.
Nic P clearly grew up hearing about the hidden ponds like the rest of us

Nope, just that typical life goes on and undercurrents that linger.

Yeah, I think there was just enough of a happy ending with the possibility that it all went to shite after the screen went black.
If you want to see a shitty ending, go watch Dexter. I think this was fine. The scene going through Carcosa was intense as hell, my dog was even into it.

Imagine chasing someone through that rat trap? I'm calling for backup frick that shite.
Yeah the entire time I was thinking they should have just jumped in the car and went where they had a signal. Rust new they were at the right spot from the jump.
Also, was the nasty skank his mom? He said something while she was on his lap like "tell me about grandpa".

Hate to say im on the slowflow disappoint bandwagon.
I just dont buy that functional retard being worthy of a coverup allowing him to frick little kids and kill hundreds of people.

I'm from sulphur and there were legends of a place called the hidden ponds that seemed a bit like car cosa where devil worshippers hung out. Anyone who lived there has heard that ledgend

Word on the street is HBO is pushing hard for Ed Norton in the next season.

Just showing how Louisiana is. We have a lot of water.
The preceding scene was marty and rust on the boat with geraci. Maybe symbolism in showing how easy it is to get away with anything on a boat. Lots of bayous in south la. Very tough to monitor every waterway. Remember errol was just shown.
