Huh. I've never noticed them until you just mentioned them. Maybe the problem is you being a pussy is just ruining YOU?

Watched "Sixteen Candles" on cable the other day. No, I'm not gay.

And this is what appeared at the start.

"This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today's standards of inclusion and tolerance and may offend some viewers"

Are you fricking shitting me?! What have we become? fricking ridiculous!

Sixteen Candles is awesome and probably my favorite of the Hughes movies.

What exactly is the point of that "warning?"

"Hey...this movie that was made decades ago had things in it that are different than things today, and since you're from today and are basically a walking vagina, we need to let you know ahead of time that those differences may cause you to cry some, so be warned, ok?"

But you might see someone smoke a cigarette without warning, just imagine the trauma that would cause.

Never really phased me. If it gave away anything I was usually past worrying about it 30 seconds after the show started.

The weirdest warning I just saw was a docudrama set in Australia.

"Aboriginals and Torres Straight Islanders are warned that the following program may contain images and voices of deceased people."
