Heartwarming, funny, and beautifully animated, Toy Story 4 manages the unlikely feat of extending -- and perhaps concluding -- a practically perfect animated saga.

yep, but luckily they don't have to top it in order to be a really damned good movie.

i'm optimistic.

I’ve have been extremely cynical to this film being made. God damnit, everyone is raving about it. I may wait until next week to see it just to get some other opinions, but I guess Pixar is getting me back to the theater.

Does anyone really expect anything Disney to get destroyed by RT? Not going to happen.

I mean, Aladdin was given a 56% on RT.

I tend to believe the critics here. Everyone was actively wanting to shite all over this movie for doing a cash grab in the name of fricking up a perfect ending. Seems like they may have pulled it off.

100% doesn't even seem like something that should be attainable.

So again, RT aggregator doesn't account for varying levels of positive. It's getting a bunch of Bs, but that doesn't detract from the 100%

Why do people push such a blatantly false narrative?

Here are some movies released in the last 5 years by Disney owned studios.

Dark Phoenix - 23%
Aladdin - 56%
Dumbo - 47%
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms - 32%
A Wrinkle in Time - 42%
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - 30%
Alice Through the Looking Glass - 29%
Strange Magic - 14%
Tomorrowland - 50%
Maleficent - 54%
Planes: Fire and Rescue - 43%
Need For Speed - 22%

Many of these are part of or were meant to kick off franchises. If Disney was buying reviewers they wouldn't let so many big budget films get wrecked by reviews.

First two films are 100% on RT. Third is 98%. They know what they're doing with Toy Story. I'm fricking stoked for this movie.

I’m of the thought that they can’t make enough great Toy Story movies. I don’t care if we go to Toy Story 20. If they are great, I’m down for it.

But only if they are great and there’s that magic and heart that makes Toy Story great. What’s interesting is that Disney has another franchise (Wreck-it Ralph) that they can use as inspiration for another Toy Story movie. How many kids still play with old school analog toys? Most toys require batteries and and lights and all sorts of extra stimulus now.

Then there is the fact that there is so much kid’s programming now on Netflix/Hulu/prime that they are watching as much tv each day as adults.

So many stories they can tell in that universe that would great.
