STFU with that shite. Jesus! We are all stupider for reading it.

Forky is just money the whole movie. I seriously would have watched a 2 hour movie of Woody just explaining and integrating Forky into toy life. Having Woody accept that Forky is basically what Woody feared Buzz was going to be - his replacement - but embracing and accepting it this go around. End the movie with Forky realizing how awesome toy life can be and how unique he is in the room (rather than being purchased for the kid in a moment of anticipation/excitement, he was created to cope with fear and anxiety) and with Woody realizing that he is happy and can thrive in a supporting role in a kid’s life.
Toy Story 5 could have been essentially what the second half of what this movie was.
Toy Story 6 could have seen (and I believe this is what Toy Story 5 should be about) Woody having spent years doing the traveling carnival bit with Bo Peep helping thousands of toys find their kids and having a new band of toys with them. They wind up in some small city. In the meantime, Bonnie grew up and her family moved to another city. She donates her toys to the daycare her mom works at and it winds up being the same city that Woody’s crew is in. In separate events, Woody’s crew and Buzz’s crew each come across a now adult Andy who has young kids of his own. It becomes clear that Andy’s kids are so use to tech that they don’t really play with traditional toys. Each crew decides they have to find Andy’s family and adventure ensues. The ending shot would be the Andy and his kids playing with his old toys in a room with that familiar cloud wallpaper.

Just got home.
When they announced it I thought it was totally unnecessary. I still think that.
It didn't feel like 1-3. It was more of a Woody story than a Toy Story. Buzz and the other toys were basically sidelined.
That being said, it wasn't bad for what it was. I wish they would've closed the series out with one last ride for the OG crew (kinda like how 3 did) but they had to milk it one more time. Forky was a hilarious addition and he made perfect sense. Sometimes kids would rather play with dumb shite like that than something like Woody or Buzz.

The character assassination on Buzz was weird. He’s lead missions when woody was on his own in the last 2 movies yet in this one all of a sudden he has no idea what to do.

His missions in the other movies had very defined goals and he usually was with the rest of the crew even if Woody wasn’t present.

I agree. I would’ve liked to see the OG crew play a bigger role like in TS3. All of them are such an integral part of the story.
I can see some spin-offs from this. Maybe not movies but possible TV or Disney+ series.

Forky has already been announced for a series of short stories on Disney Plus so that’s good.
I can’t be the only one who noticed that Bonnie’s mom looked like a twin of Riley’s mom from Inside Out right? I swore it was the same voice actress and then I remembered Diane Lane was the voice for Riley’s mom and she wasn’t in it.

I am just saying I think it is great people can bring their kids to this movie and have a subtle message for the children without the parents being up in arms about it, is all.
This is a GOOD thing. I am just pointing out what they did, this show might be cater to little kids but the people behind it have several social agenda that is now being push in a more acceptable way, something I've always hated.
Its like how Christian like to push their faith in people faces or obvious movies liek God's Not Dead. Even Netflix with their whole diversity checklist films. Toy Story 4 is getting that message across but in a non invasive way. I was lauding them for that fact, not sure why you are up in arms about it.
You enjoy it, I enjoyed it too. Why are we up in arms against one another?

Because you’re saying stupid shite.

Overall, until the ending, I liked it more than 2&3. Ending just fell flat for me. Wasn’t a bad ending just thought 3 ended it better. Also didn’t like that the other toys basically got sidelined for the newer ones, even though they were awesome.
Still I’m glad they made it. Was really good and fits into the rest.
I’d rank them:
Toy Story
Toy Story 4
Toy Story 2
Toy Story 3

I thought it was great. Not in 3s league but great. Wish woody would have had more time to say goodbye to the crew.

Fantastic movie.
It was tough to imagine them nailing it after such an amazing walk off with 3 but it really was good

Just got out. It was good not great. Obviously, 3 was a better movie and ending. This felt very much like one of those toy story shorts but extended to 90 minutes. The Halloween one comes to mind. Very entertaining in terms of humor and visuals. I enjoyed the new characters more than the old ones. Lol at the guy earlier in the thread claiming Forky was gender neutral.

Is it going to hurt your feelings when you realize Forky is “male”? How was that not obvious when he becomes infatuated with Knifey dressed as female and with hair? Or how all of the cast and producers have referred to him with male pronouns? You gonna cry?

What made Toy Story was the cast. Look at this shite.
Tom Hanks
Tim Allen
Don Rickles
Jim Varney
Wallace Shawn
John Ratzenberger
R. Lee Ermey

What does it matter ? We both seen and enjoy the movie. For me I saw Forky as sexless and more like gender fluid but it was showcase in a benign way. YOu saw it as a normal movie. It works for both crowd. We should be celebrating together on this new milestone not be at odd on what you perceive is not in the movie.
I saw it you didn't but I can guarantee you a lot of people saw it too. The typical male in Woody has been subverted for a more gender fluid friendly forky. HOwever it was in a very subtle and non invasive way.
Up until now, the progressive movement have been very in your face. You should be happy?

You’re projecting this desire on an inanimate object as if Rex and Trixy and sketch and others weren’t basically genderless from the start but given genders based on how they sounded, interacted and were addressed by others. Forky is no different. He had a girlfriend at the end ffs.
