They could have at least tried to make a couple of those shots appear somewhat dfficult.

For all those commenting on the straight and easy shots - that's real pool. Despite that the movie shows a lot of trick shots in other scenes, real pool is about controlling the cue ball. Real pros always leave themselves straight, easy shots and don't rely? on fancy trick shots to pot balls.

That whole movie is golden.
- The scene in the bar when Vince and Fast Eddie meet.
- The dinner afterwards where Fast Eddie realizes what he can do with Vince. "You study the watch. I study you."
- That scene with him tearing up the table singing Warewolves of London.
- The best scene IMO might be with Forrest Whitacker and Paul Newman. I love that scene.
Great movie. I'll have to drop that in the DVD player and watch it sometime soon.

Risky business is one of the most overrated films from the 80's

classic scene carson. best movie scene and music combo imo. another scene that people never talk about is when eddie plays amos and gets hustled.
meh.
the only thing they messed up with the scene is the 5 ball. its a different shot/angle when they switch cameras.
kind of nit picky but mozel's shot on the 4 to give vince the ball was awful and would never be made by a good pool player considering where the 5 was
i do like that they shot their own pool in the movie minus the jump shot in the tournament.

Hey Eddie can I ask you something? Think I need to lose some weight?

Great movie, tho Cruise's hair was ridiculous. Newman was incredible.

this is an underrated movie, almost a perfect follow up for a sequel.
still, the pool scenes with Fast Eddie / Fats were better in the Hustler.
"Boy, he is great! Jeez, that old fat man. Look at the way he moves: like a dancer... And those fingers, them chubby fingers. That stroke... it's like he's, uh, like he's playin' the violin or somethin'."

Dancing around a pool table, laughing and generally annoying an opponent twice his size would have landed Cruise in an ER IRL.

Scene where h kicks Minnesota's arse all night, fats gets a shave, fresh bottle and says let's play. Love it. You knew it was over then
