Please don’t read below if you haven’t seen the movie yet.
Just watched Forest Gump. What an awesome movie! Hanks has the performance of a lifetime. Jenny really is a whore and a useless troll. Probably had the aids in the end.
Hated to see momma and bubba die
I don’t know how they cgi-ed dans lets out so well... at times I wondered if the actor actually voluntarily received amputations for added realism... who knows.
Anyways, will watch again. I’m sure I’ll catch more nuances upon the second viewing.

I listened to it on the drive home today. It really wasn't their best.
Even thought Forrest Gump won all the awards, I think Cast Away is the better Zemeckis/Hanks movie.

I saw Gump and Shawshank back to back in Okinawa back in the day. Don't get much better than that

I don't really think you need to put a spoiler warning for a movie over 20 years old. Haha
The missing legs was probably the best cgi/visual modification of the film.
It's certainly an entertaining movie, but I will complain about 2 things.
1 is there is too many flashbacks to shootings. I get that was a big deal at the time, but it distracts from the movie because the shootings have nothing to do with the storyline and seem to happen every 20 minutes.
And 2nd, Forrest is just in the right place at the right time too many damn times.

Jenny is the personification of common/popular America, she never was the villain that some will have you believe. Anyone that hates Jenny really just hates themselves and their own failings.

I always saw Jenny too as that typical love you never could land. The girlfriend that showed enough interest to keep you going but then always ran off from the guy that would’ve been best for her.
Even in the end after coming back she left Forrest.

Anytime I see Forrest Gump on TV it instantly pulls me in. It mesmerizes me. It’s so damn good.
