The Maree thibg didn’t bother me too much. Literally all those who were involved in the BB drug empire was dead except for Jessie who got away. He was literally the only one standing that had a significant role. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for them to make Saul the face of resolution of it all.

Maybe just me but I do not see how Saul was an accessory to murder.

It's like me being prosecuted because I did business with a guy who shot two police officers.

Just seemed like a huge stretch by the prosecution. All the white collar stuff, guilty as sin.

Saul couldn't even tell you what happened to Hank and Gomez or the circumstances.

This is how I saw it too. He wasn’t trying to save her, he was trying to win her back. That’s what the “it’s showtime” before his hearing was for.

I also think that the criticisms about Jimmy/Saul never evolving is kind of missing the point. His conversations with Mike and Walt showed that he was the one character in the show that never broke bad. He was always bad. But, in losing Kim, he finally had a regret.

Count me in the number that liked the ending. A running theme in BB was people unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. I think this theme ran through BCS as well. We saw someone stand up take responsibility for their bad choices. I thought it set itself apart from other character arcs in the BB universe.

One of the best parts of the final episode was the evolution of Jimmy/Saul/Gene’s wardrobe in the beginning of the episode and the addition of the DC uniform at the end of the episode.

Besides that, there were a couple of good lines from Walt and the shared cigarette in the end was a good wrap. The remainder was just mediocre IMO.

I guess it’s been too long, but what happened to Huel? I was somewhat expecting him to be in the courtroom gallery, but I may have forgotten some other ending for his character. Too much to remember between the two series and the multiple time lines

I laughed my arse off when Walt asked Saul, in annoyance, what a "Slip and Fall" was. Spot on Walt.

Exactly. And they just give her the floor to say whatever. Total fanboy scene. Worthless.

Bringing her back just reminded everyone how much they despised her.

would have been great if they could have worked in something like

Saul: I heard they found Agent Schrader by some rocks

Marie: THEY'RE MINERALS GODDAMMIT!

They just set up an entire new show with Saul on the inside.

I think they should do a Hank and Gomey cop buddy show.

Also, was anybody else disappointed we never got a transition from black and white to color? There were numerous times where it would’ve worked great, if just never happened. shite, it could’ve even happened when he told the judge his name was McGill instead of Goodman. I was big time disappointed in that.

the second he was arrested and no longer Gene it should have gone color.

Exactly. A show this good shouldn’t have a 4 episode epilogue to end the series. I felt it was a little pretentious of Vince.

The opening scene of the entire series heavily implies that we are going to see what happens after breaking bad. Back then it excited people but now there is a group of people who aren't interested in anything to do with Kim and Jimmy.

The cartel stuff was a part of the show in the first place to expand to a broader audience and it was handled very well thankfully, but so many people forget what this show was supposed to be about in the first place. Lalo and Nacho were great additions and added a ton to the show, but they also made certain people lose interest in the title character.

How was it pretentious to spend some time wrapping up Saul's story in a show called Better Call Saul?

I thought I read somewhere that teh writers had theri exact outlin for the final season but AMC forced them to add extra episodes so that it could be split into 2 mini-seasons. I can't relaly fault the wrtiers for some of the fluff if they really did have to add ~4 extra hours of stuff that they didn't want or plan to.

I got it wrong, I was closer than most.

You quite literally weren't closer than most but you can keep telling yourself that. It's over now.

Also when you say "closer than most" you act like we were all in a competition to get it right about this show. Everybody in these threads over the years was just having general fun conversation about the possibilities of the show.

Only you took it as a competition and you made personal insults at people who didn't think like you. And you lost. You officially lost last week and you went into hiding until the finale to soften the blow.

I used to think Ham was just trolling and ignored him accordingly, but his ghosting for the last week or so, with only the one post saying he was "closer than most" pretty much confirms he was for real. What a dumbass.

I believe it was "accessory, after the fact" that was charged.

Saying shite like this & your posting of "I called the ending" like 4 times in this thread is coming off very Ham-ish.

The Nazis killed prick Hank and smug Gomez so I'm not following how Saul would be involved. Did he even know about them? It's been so long ago I don't even recall.

The Feds overreach habitually so it doesn't matter much.

He was accessory after the fact because he hooked up Walt with the vacuum guy so Walt could make his escape

Something I hadn't thought about before; Do the Feds even know the Nazis killed Hank or do they think Walt did?

I know Walt denied it saying he tried to stop it but that doesn't mean much.
