maybe it was in case of a black eye, I did assume he wanted more time to spend on jimmy conflict, maybe he expected more antics from jimmy in that week. but its been a few days of the PI tracking jimmy. When kim told jimmy about her meeting for the foundation it was 'next week' on D-Day. so we are now after the week howard cleared.
I have to think howard wouldn't expect to get roughed up too badly by jimmy, and he made the "clear my whole week" comment immediately after learning the latest thing from cliff and he connected the dots on jimmy. IOW, I don't think he did it for recovery time I think the viewer was led to rationally assume he had a shite ton of stuff planned. Granted we haven't seen any of it, so I've gotta think next episode we're going to ahve more info revealed on what howard was up to. There's no way someone as cunning as howard would clear an entire week solely for the purpose of organizing a boxing match on one night.

Definitely part of the set-up. For some reason they wanted Howard to see Jimmy withdraw $20K....

Correct. Which also begs the question why picnic at HHM unless they wanted to be seen?
Shouldn't we assume the PI will report out to Howard that they went and had a moonlight picnic on the lawn of HHM???
Toasting with Champaigne ,,,,,,

You know, I'm thinking.... Why does the broken arm screw up the pictures? Couldn't the pictures be from before the broken arm? Maybe he just broke it?
Anyway what is clear is that the have had several miscues so far and will undoubtedly NOT pull this latest scam off perfectly.
What cliff hanger will they leave us with until the last 7 episodes drop?

And Saul has suggested giving up the whole thing a few times.... but Kim refuses to.
Not sure about the cliff hanger but I'm sure it will be one for the books!

Excuse to shoehorn another ”Omaha” reference in there when Jimmy said they were going out to “Omaha Beach.” I had thought the main reason the writers had Jimmy and Kim call it “D-Day” to begin with was the implied “Omaha Beach” reference. But—again, thanks to Pete Peppers—hadn’t considered that though we “won” D-Day, we took a shite-ton of casualties in doing so. There are gonna be unexpected “casualties” in Kim and Jimmy’s D-Day plan, obviously. But who?

Could the PI actually be working for Jimmy and Kim as a double agent? Or would that be cheating to not have shown it by now?

Right. I could be wrong, but I think he spent the week trying to figure out what Jimmy/Kim are up to & coming up with a plan to stop him.
To answer someone else's question about the last 6 episodes after the break - I think E07 will be the end of the Saul/Kim vs Howard. The rest of the episodes will be the fallout from that & more of Saul/Gene. Not sure if they can include the Lalo vs Mike/Gus in E07 too so that might be part of the 2nd half of S06 too.

I don’t know, but they made a point to show that actor as a bit overzealous and more method than the particular part called for. In the preview for the next episode you see Jimmy talking to a guy—you can only see him from behind, but I’m almost positive it is the “actor,” likely at his day job—and Jimmy is trying to motivate him, fire him up, by saying “Seize the day!” Are they gonna get this poor guy to go really method and actually break his arm? Seems unnecessary, but they may be able to come up with a plausible reason to need him to do it.

I thought about that too. But I’m not sure how they’d have done it. Like how would they know Howard was looking for a PI and was going to hire this guy in particular?
But things just so conveniently work out for them sometimes so I guess it’s possible

That would be a bit too convenient I think.
But then Lalo did magically produce a razor blade out of thin air so who knows.

As opposed to just wearing a simple cast and sling?

Speaking of the sub, it has some good stuff but they don’t like any criticism of the show at all. If you do, they act like you’re just an simpleton who just wants action scenes

I'm starting to think the theory that Kim is just with Jimmy to get the Sandpiper money and then pops smoke may have some legs.
I've been on this train ever since she made a complete 180 and proposed. Just seemed like something was up from that moment on

Depending on what's happening, Cliff may see Kim at the mediation (possible).
id assumed cliff wouldve been at the foundation meeting expecting to see kim at the luncheon, but yea its also very possible he's still in town to see kim at their mediation D-day event, which may throw another wrench in the plan either way.

To show they are confident they have the judge in their pocket.....playing the "we know something you don't" card?
Posted on 5/17/22 at 5:22 pm to dirtsandwich
PI has to be working for Kim and Jimmy somehow. Seems like the plan is to produce pictures of the "judge" being bribed and show them to Howard, but this only works if those pictures disappear shortly after Howard sees them. Otherwise, Howard can show those pictures to prove he isn't crazy and is being set up

Same thing happens here and pretty much any sub discussing serious television. "It's a slow burn, sorry you didn't get enough car chases and explosions lololol!!!" That fricking line never gets old from fanbois who don't question anything about their top 37 favorite TV shows, except for what all the clues mean to finally bring meaning to their lives.

Are y’all sure it wasn’t Kim playing Kims mom last night?
