I still kind of roll my eyes at the $7 million amount, and Lalo's simple "OK!" reaction.

But I guess the point of that in the story was to build up Lalo as someone much bigger in the foodchain than Don Hector's other nephews. Gives him more credibility as a more serious and fearful threat to Gus. They also needed to add a cartel guy who had brains & skills, and isn't just a coked-up thug.

Doesn’t matter if they ever met gus
If Werner’s guys “kai” say they were working on a secret underground building

That’s enough proof for lalo

Yeah the 7 million was nothing to sneeze at. Are we to believe the Salamanca’s came up with the whole thing or Don Eladio kicked in?

I also found the money room kind of absurd as well, but maybe that's how it goes. I've never been around $7mm cash. Only 5.25mm personally and I kept it in an old Glastron boat in the hull.

I've heard stories where cartel/Escobar type dudes buy entire houses and just fill them with cash.

These stories may get exaggerated, but maybe not.

Pablo Escobar lost around $2.1 BILLION in cash because rats ate the money. Basically he had so much money in multiple store rooms that a small % was eaten up by rats every year.

These top Mexican cartels are rolling in money so not crazy to think at least a small portion of it is stored in some safe houses for emergency purposes.

I mean, for starters, I thought the bail amount issued by the court was pretty crazy. This was a local court dealing w/ what they thought was some rando Mexican national in a random crime in New Mexico; not a federal court dealing w/ a known cartel boss. Mexican nationals get arrested for crimes all the time in border states.

And it's just never been perfectly clear where the Salamancas fit in the cartel order. BCS has clearly been building them up as more than what we saw in BB. And I guess Lalo having control of that kind of cash demonstrated that he was a bigger deal than the other cousins.

Do we think Lalo is going to challenge Jimmy to get the bail money back?

Kim is no part of “Saul.” She almost shite her pants when she realized just how thick it can pile on when talking to Mike.

Uhh Mike said he was telling her because she is made of sterner stuff than Saul. She almost shite her pants when he told her that Lalo was still alive, which isn't saying much bc Gus is also shite-ing his pants.

I feel that something happens to Kim before she ever tells Saul and that Mike has something to do with it.

In BB, when Saul is brought out to the desert he apparently doesn’t know Lalo is dead (assuming he is)

Currently, Saul thinks Lalo is dead. Kim knows he is alive. Saul being brought out to the desert and thinking Lalo is alive in BB means that Kim told him.

Potential plot hole for my simple mind. How does Jimmy become a horn dog when he fully transforms to Saul?

Jimmy has always seemed pretty respectable to women when it comes to sex. In the future, calling somebody Honeytits and the bra on the bathtub party scene in the open to season 6 are two things that come to mind to show his change in character in those regards.

I get the change to flashy clothing and cars to make himself stand out, but that specific change in regards to women doesn’t make sense to me.

Or (thinking aloud) the writers are making it clear as day that Kim will be 100% detached from him, and he goes wild with women when she does.

Good points. Maybe Kim does call the cleaner and leaves without telling Jimmy/Saul? He thinks she just abandoned him?

I think a lot of you are looking at "Saul" in the wrong way.

It has been shown that Kim is helping Jimmy create the character "Saul." Would Jimmy say Sugartits? No. Would Saul? Absolutely.

The Saul we got to know in Breaking Bad could just be the character Jimmy plays. Even the mansion and things he owns could all be for appearances to sell the character. Gus Fring does the same thing, he hides his true self inside a mild-mannered chicken-man character.

Kim has been driving it home that Saul would do things differently than Jimmy.

We mostly saw Saul in BB, only small glimpses of Jimmy. Now, in BCS, we get mostly Jimmy and small glimpses of Saul.

My main point is the things Saul says aren't necessarily what Jimmy would say and vice versa. So we should probably take his womanizing demeanor with a grain of salt in BB.

If she does, it will be someone else playing the vacuum guy. I didn't know he died in 2019.

Who's guy was this? Was it mike's contact? I can't remember.

My point being, Saul doesn't know about the vacuum guy yet so someone (maybe Mike) would have to tell her.

thats tough when one of the womanized people is someone who knows jimmy and kim. where it would make no sense to be playing a character while they are alone.

I generally agree with your overall sentiment that saul is more of a persona.

agree about playing a character but you do that outwardly for appearances, not in your home when you're alone. That's your refuge and the place where you can be your "real" self unbothered. Saul wouldn't be living lavish like that complete with solid gold throne toilet for appearances, IMO. The flashy suits, cadillac, over the top office, sure. I buy all of it. But I don't think he'd still be faking it in his home life.

Agreed. Maybe jimmy threw a party. Maybe Jimmy was not the horndog.

Jimmy has a relationship with the Veterenarian. The vet is where Jimmy gets the vacuum cleaner info from, imo.
