First reaction to finale is meh, especially if it takes another 2 years for 1 season. With Wu Flu, who knows when it'll be.
Great season overall
Yep

Episode cemented my opinion that this show is a notch below breaking bad.
At the end of the day it boils down to the simple reality that Odenkirk can’t carry the series like Cranston, who was the best actor on screen in every scene he was in. It’s really hard to play a character like Saul Goodman as the leading man in a universe as dark as BCS/BB. Mike’s storyline has been carrying the series for the last three seasons and Saul is just along for the ride.
Still a great show though

So, it’s a notch below what is arguably the best show of all-time? That is a pretty fair assessment of this series.
eta: when is Saul not a dopey character? Isn’t that exactly what he’s supposed to turn into?

Well, although it's a good show, the scripts are not as riveting as Breaking Bad (no show was really that riveting). It's easier to showcase great acting when you have a phenomenal script.

Great season but have to ding the finale for making everybody stupid just to service the plot.
I'm not sure how Nacho makes it past the first episode next season but I guess they can reveal that Lalo is more wounded than he seemed if the writers need to buy him some time.
Those have to be the worst assassins in the world.
The tragedy of Nacho when he dies (and he will die) is that everything he was telling Don Eladio he wanted, Lalo was pretty much offering him.

I didn't say dopey I said mopey. Saul was a fast talking weaselly count in BB.
He wasn't a sad sack of shite with a frown on his face all the time

I think the writing has more to do with it than the actors. The scene between Chuck and Jimmy in the first season where Chuck tells him he's not a real lawyer is arguably the best scene in the entire series

Big time disagree. Mike's storyline is borderline fancy filler

Man I really like the episode. I think some are dinging it or whatever simply because we know we’ll have to wait forever for Season 6.
I honestly can’t believe that Gilligan has been able to recreate alternate storylines from Breaking Bad and make it so good. Just incredibly hard to do.

Very anticlimactic finale.

How's it going guys? instead of arguing I decided to give you guys the day off. I let several people bash me and decided not to jump in because I could save the quotes for later. I have decided to narrow it down to one by Dipshit " Diamond Dog" that sums the years of ridicule I have received, but I do find it fascinating that not a single poster has acknowledged J+K=S since the episode aired.
This quote is from Dumbass "Diamond Dog" Douche
I think that about sums up what I've been dealing with for 3 years in this thread.
Vince is spelling it out for you.
Sa_l'_ W K_m
or

Frings Back
This is a recent find, not by me. I'm not going to explain it so don't ask. Work it out for yourself.

The actors are going to all be so old by the time the next season comes around. Suspending your disbelief that Mike is some kind of Grandpa Jack Bauer is getting harder and harder. Also, Don Eladio looks like Jose Canseco.

I find it hard to believe fring would kill lalo with nacho down there
Fring should have waited, nacho takes over for the Salamancas and fring control both operations just like he told mike he was going to do
Even if the hit was successful, the cartel would take out nacho just for not stepping up unless he got wounded fighting the assassins to prove his loyalty

I’m just starting this episode but the more I watch Lalo, the more terrifying that guy is
His smile, man just gives me the shivers

I'm satisfied with it, feel like next season is going to be intense.
Lalo is going to look for Nachos loved ones now.
Howard will probably commit suicide too, effecting kim directly this time.
Gene murders the taxi driver and assumes his identity lol

Just want to add that I'm pumped that Lalo is still alive. He may be one the most amazing characters in the BB universe.
I completely think he has to die, just glad it didn't happen tonight. Lalo is amazing.
Going to bed for real now. Don't reply for an hour or so. I need to sleep.
Would also like to add that Kim is now the driving force behind Saul.
Discuss.

Im thinking Lalo is going to assume it was Bolsa. Setting that up with the car and money shite. If Nacho is in a car, Mike will probably intercept him..Lalo is going to want Nachos people, i think Fring will come to respect him and let him go..also changing his attitude to the fear-motivation.

Man. Boo this shite. For a finale that blowed. Sorry if that’s not the boards opinion. Now we got to wait a year and a half? This is like something you run with if there are three seasons left. I’m just disappointed I guess.

Lalo will be onto Nacho now. Everyone is dead except Nacho. The guy Lalo thought started the fire was the first one shot.
You're not giving Lalo enough credit. What was the name of the episode? " Something Unforgivable."
Lalo will know it was him. Gus wants more. His only choice is to disappear or die.

He will think Bolsa is involved in it, with Ignacio.
Fairly sure Fring comes out on top of whatever happens though.
