We can conclusively dispel the hypothesis that in BB, “Jimmy goes home to Kim every night.”

Jimmy/Saul, for all his ways, is nothing but faithful to Kim. He is not a womanizer.

Remember in Breaking Bad when he is constantly hitting on Francesca? He insists he needs to follow her home from the office and when she refuses, he murmurs under his breath, “you are killin’ me with that booty.”

Saul has fully broken bad by then and there is no doubt that by the “Better Call Saul” episode in BB that Kim is either dead, gone, or “disappeared.”

His whole demeanor with Francesca contradicts what he’d be if he was going home to Kim every night and they were living happily ever after with Kim the silent partner in the criminal-lawyer enterprise.

I think Lalo has figured it out. He and Nacho are making the haul all the way to Don Eladio to get it sorted out.

BB gave us conflicting info, but the info that he's dead seems much stronger.

Not really

The Salamanca name does with Hector.

Lalo is dead. Like you hypothesized, very soon

Though what we be the arc for the final season?

For me, the show ends with Walter white first meeting Saul in his office.

I think you will see Kim behind the scenes working with Jimmy with his clients, etc.

One thing to pay attention to, Jimmy lost a case in the courtroom tonight. Season 6 you will see Jimmy avoid court as much as possible, making deals etc.

Let's hope Mike doesn't die from Covid while they film season 6

Another interesting thing was Lalo mentioning to Hector that Tuco gets out of prison in 11 months...for everyone watching for the BCS/BB timeline.

Yes I know I’m dumb but can someone tell me who would hire that hit on Saul with the money and why is Gus going along with it?

Saul was small potatoes. The non-Salamanca/non-Fring cartel elements wanted the seven million.

And this illustrates how badass the twins were. Mike sums up to Gus Fring that the hired guns were heavily armed “but didn’t want to take on the original carriers,” so made their move when Saul got the money, figuring him for an easy mark and not counting on Mike intervening.

My guess is Bolsa. He acted like he didn’t know about the hit and showed no concern when Gus called him. I’m thinking he is still trying to expose Gus. He and Lalo both smell a rat. I don’t think Lalo was informed about the hit though.

When Kim was asking Lalo why he didn't use a shell company, the Caymans, etc., I was waiting for Lalo to say, "Hey. Maybe you are the lawyer I should be using to handle my business. Let's talk."

Tony Dalton (Lalo) was in a series called Sr. Avila on HBOLatinoamerica. Wikipedia says his character "is a middle-class life-insurance salesman, doting husband and father. He is also a cunning hit man. When he decides to head an organization of contract killers, the thin veil between his ordinary and hidden lives wears quickly. In this seedy underworld of hired crime, every entanglement falls into the hands of Sr. Avila--who must decide who stays and who goes."

That sounds pretty good. Anyone tried to watch it on HBO streaming service?

We also have seen him in the Gene scenes coming home to a lonely crappy apartment all by himself. All Ham’s Easter Eggs are fittin’ to make a nice omelet with a nice steaming cup of his tears on the side.

They hyped this season like it was gonna get to the gritty and it has but idk it's been a bit slow burn make a great finale between Gustavo boys and Salamanca's crew pls

Best season yet imo but I think next is what breaking bad fans had been waiting for not this one

This is the preview to the season we all want

Tuco, Lalo, Hector, the twins. That Salamanca family is some psychos.

I’m not ready to say “conclusively”. It’s been a popular fan theory since season 1 and the writers have been leading viewers to believe that is a possibility.

I can accept a period of time where she is working behind the scenes, but not during the BB timeline. Heck, she’s already done it this season. I just don’t want the writers to take the approach that Kim was there all along in BB, working behind the scenes. It’s just not mature enough, clever enough, or original enough for the caliber of creators that are behind these 2 epic series.

J+K=S is just too trope-ish. It would be an insult to the fan base. It would be like the dream season in Dallas, or the final season of Roseanne, both of which are widely ridiculed for having to retcon their shows for ill-conceived writing.

100% spot on.

I was sorta hoping Mike would’ve fired and accidentally shot Kim just to squash this J+K=S in breaking bad “theory.”

For what it’s worth, I also don’t think Kim dies.

There’s been a reason the writers have been inserting Hamlin into the story when it seems like his story purpose has already been met prior to this season. They have been using Hamlin to show us how much Jimmy despises him. They also showed us Hamlin making a job offer to Jimmy. And now they gave us an out of work Kim. Convenient.

If we end up with Howard trying to recruit Kim , wouldn’t that create more tension between Kim and Jimmy? The end result would be a plausible reason for her to not be around Saul in BB or around Gene in BCS without killing her off. Lalo interrupted an argument where Jimmy wanted Kim to stay out of his new cartel relationship and to keep her job instead. We may end up with Jimmy rejecting Kim.

Also, I'm tired of wimpy Jimmy.

When is Saul/Jimmy not wimpy?

Walt pushed him around constantly in BB. He is only not wimpy in the courtroom and with the authorities.

He’s scared out his mind around any threat of violence.

With Jimmy showing so much concern and downright anger towards Kim about "being in the game" I'm wondering if he simply does something despicable to her out of love to make her go away and never come around him again

Saul recognized tonight that if Kim is to live and/or avoid the trauma of an experience like he had in the desert...that he must be done with her. She ain't in the game for real.

I think Saul fully "breaks bad" when there is no one left in his life that calls him Jimmy, especially Kim.

So IMHO Kim is long gone in the BB time line because Jimmy McGill doesn't exist anymore.

The scene of the winning attorney relentlessly berating him may be the writers’ way of suggesting that Jimmy is in the process of feeling that Kim deserves better. Lalo also planted that seed.
