It was definitely implied (if not outright said) that Crazy 8 gave up Emilio and Jesse.

Right. Which means Walt & Jesse have to be cooking

Don’t Walt and Jesse capture Krazy 8 after their first cook? Krazy 8 never makes it out of that alive, so the BB timeline basically starts when Krazy 8 disappears from BCS

Yes

I also like how the Audi comes back covered in dust after a day of riding dirty to Tucumcari for Mesa Verde. Kim ready to permanently look down her nose at money. Meanwhile Jimmy takes all the dirty money he can get.

No, I’m not sure why you think he only snitched once. Chances are there are at least a couple years before Walt’s first cook.

That's a good catch. I also liked how it made Kim uneasy when Jimmy put the empty beer bottle on the rail and then she grabbed it off. Like he's "living on the edge" and she doesn't like it or agree with it.

Walt was born September 7th 1958, which means Breaking Bad starts the same day in 2008. Remember his 50th birthday bacon?

Based on this I would say the 70 year line is an approximation. We seem closer than 4 years to BB.

The last known BCS date confirmation was when Howard Hamlin wrote Kim a check. I can't remember that date off the top of my head, but I know I posted a picture at one time.

I will dig down the rabbit hole tomorrow to see if I can find a date on that check.

Okay, I don't have a pic, but I found the episode.

Kim is the one that wrote the check to Howard to cover her student loans. This was at the end of the Chuck and Jimmy bar association hearing. The check was dated March 4th 2003.

I believe Jimmy got a 1 year suspension which would place us in or right around 2004, I will have to double check everything because it feels like we are much closer, bit I'm pretty sure I'm accurate at this point.

I see why you say this, but I don't feel like money is the big factor. I think the main factor is being on the side of the underdog.

Most of the time these are the same thing, but I don't think money is entering her head. It's just a need to figure out who is the giant and who is the little person.

She knows the homeowner is legally in the wrong, but she prefers to help him.

As far as who she helps, we're making the same point, but I feel like she's indifferent to money, but wants to help the little guy. She wants to be Atticus Finch.

She's starting to feel like "the man" is the bad guy even if they're in the right.

I'm thinking Walter isnt even quite expecting Holly yet. When we see hank on the News in episode 1 at the party, I'm feeling like he's been hitting places that he's being baited with through 8, for quite a while now.

He's a bit more hardened with jesse than he appears to be in this series. I think whatever he's about to go through is going to change him up. Probably after having to deal with a high Tuco in the future too.

He also appears to live in a house like Nacho in BB, maybe even took Nachos "spot" in that organization. Seems like him and his cousin Emilio had their own thing going on the side too. He had a lab going and was collecting ingredients when busted by hank on the walter ride along.

Saul also does business with 8's cousin Emilio

quote:

Jesse:
Sooner or later this was gonna happen. If you want your exponential growth, guys are gonna get busted. Simple as that.

Walter:
How about we get him a real attorney? I mean, what the hell is this? This is who he hires?

Jesse:
What? You kidding me? This is the guy you want. This is the guy I'd hire.

Walter:
[sarcastically] Ooh, this is the guy you'd hire.

Jesse:
Look, you remember Emilio? 'Kay, this dude got Emilio off, like, twice. 'Kay, both times they had him dead to rights, yo, and then poof. Dude's like Houdini. Seriously, when the going gets tough, you don't want a criminal lawyer. Alright, you want a criminal lawyer. You know what I'm saying?

feel like it's all about to come together soon though. Like we will soon overlap and see different POVs from that same timeline. Feel like Ignacio is the 1st to use Joe's vaccum service,...but I dont see it really working out well for him or his father. His father first probably. But then he decides not to run.

The problem here is that Crazy 8 was the one who snitched on Emilio. This is straight from Hank on BB season 1.

It's possible they had something going and 8 turned on him for one reason or another.

No it doesn’t... in BB Crazy 8 is a badass and cocky SOB

He is very very timid at this point, so something has to turn him that way and it won’t be overnight.

Plus, Jesse said that Saul got him off twice. This would be the first time, so he has to get “nabbed” for looks at some point in the future.

Yeah, may have been planned though for whatever reason or another. Seems Hank was being played by Fring way before walter came along.

May also may be a reason Fring is a big DEA benefactor by BB. Keep your enemies closer, and they’d never suspect him.

Yeah, I know their "first official meeting" was when fring added the money to Walter's cancer jar..but, its Fring. He probably knew who Hank was already. Had been to Hank's boss' house to cook seabass..so, yeah..as Hank rose up in the DEA (maybe thanks to help he didnt know about), Fring was definitely watching.

ETA

Unfortunately for him, Hank was a damn good detective.

Who plays Mr. Acker, the old man that refuses to leave his home? He's not in any of the credits and I know him from an old movie or TV show.

Is he the guy in the wheelchair in No Country for Old Men?
