Her shooting green bolts is strange to me as I started reading the comic in college back in the late 80's.

Star still looks bad but it may just be the shitty whig. Robin is pretty fricking intense and BB looks good. Not sure about Raven though she looks like something straight out of a shitty CW show. Maybe the trailer was just edited poorly

ETA: whoever edited that piece of shite will likely not be editing things in the future. That trailer was awful, but there was enough good in it to give hope. Except Starfire.

The writing is very bad. I've read the pilot. Starfire is basically a hooker/spy that discovers she has powers.
Dick is a loner detective in San Fran.

You can see the Dick stuff in the trailer. He's talking to Raven in the cop station after she's attacked.
eta: I've only seen the pilot so maybe it could get better. Only Dick, Raven, and Starfire are in it (BB has the closing scene). They have already greenlit season 2 so they must like it.

I'm torn on this one...on one hand I like the dark, gritty violence and adult situations it has. On the other hand I'm really starting to believe that the DC movie and tv universe just doesn't understand their characters. It's sad really since DC has some of the greatest characters ever created.

The TV universe started off great. The first 3 seasons of Arrow were highly addicting and very well produced. Then the universe exploded and the content really suffered.

I will be totally honest. Maybe it's because I havent stayed up to date with the show or following anything anyone has been sayng about it.
But I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so dark. Looks like it is going full on rated R. I dont mind it.
Trailer looks pretty good. It didnt blow me away by any means. Dick killed me with the "frick Batman" line. Starfire looked absolutely terrible. Like really bad. Surely that is for a reason and not her actual regular look for the show.

Holy shite!!! That trailer is fricking awesome!! It's like some completely different company took over for making live action DC products. The only drawback is knowing how they've fricked Starfire both visually and with her background.
