Adult Randall has a lot of highs lately, it seems. When he's happy or excited about something, he's REALLY happy or excited. Considering the low he had when Kevin came to his rescue, there could be some personality issues brewing.

Randall is Manic-Depressive, and obviously in a manic state.

The death of Mr. McGiggles bumped him down a peg or two.

Yes! I said the same thing to my wife. He is very over the top and cheesy AF. Nobody acts like that

I love his character, but him and his wife's writing are like they were on west wing with the quick responses and witty sayings. Doesnt fit

First off Jack is not in his 30s when he dies. He’s in his 50s. He was born in 1944 because he was 36 when the kids were born which was also his birthday and the show began when the big 3 turned 36. But there are some inconsistencies in last nights episode. First, if he would have coded they would have tried to revive him for at least 30 minutes. Second, Kevin is staying with Rebecca and Miguel who live in New Jersey but yet on that same day, how does he go to visit Jack’s tree near Pittsburgh when it’s an 8-10 hour drive from NJ depending on where in the state he’s coming from.

My wife who is a diehard Eagles fan was on too much of a high to get emotional over the episode so I think she’s going to rewatch tonight to get herself prepared for tomorrow night’s episode which I heard will be sadder than last nights.

One more thing, how about Mandy’s arse in those mom jeans with the vintage Steelers jersey shirt! IWHI!

I found it odd that Jack Went to bed before the end of the game. No way a guy whose favorite day of the year is the superbowl going to turn in early and not watch the end.
It's his favorite day of the year and we are to assume that since having kids they've always watched the games as a family. Each of the kids left and went off to do their own thing so I have to imagine maybe it put a damper on the whole thing for him and he didn't feel like watching it without them.

Makes the death and all the issues the Big 3 have that much more "real"

He's been displaying a lot of signs of mania this season.

We know he has issues with anxiety/panic attacks

Are we 100% sure the tree is in Pittsburgh?

And even if so, it's not 8-10 hour drive, more like 5-6

Like I said earlier, I can’t believe Kate said “can’t you give me this one day to cry and be sad”.

One day? Lol

All you do is complain and cry

From Tobys’ perspective, I would rather be alone than live a life together with than banshee. What a miserable human Kate is.

Didn’t Randall take William to the tree en route to Memphis?

Nicely done. There are approximately 600k words in the English language. Some better describe situations than others, and in the rare instance where the wooden trap of words cannot capture the lobster of truth, we must invent one that does the job perfectly.

That said, I agree that we don't know that the tree is in Pittsburgh. I thought they lived around Philly, but were Steelers fans, and Randall settled in NJ, working in NYC, while William was in Philly.

Truth. "I'm sad this one day because my dad died" - Reasonable.

"I'm miserable every day because I'm Hutt-like in girth since I feel like I killed my dad and I can't adult." - Kate

Have they ever said what condition Kate has that makes her so big and her twin look like he does?

I’ve never heard of twins looking that different

Also, did anyone know that the teenage Kate is former baseball player Todd Zeiles daughter?

Early in S1, she says that it's because of the antidepressants she was on, trying to cope with Jack's death.

Wow that episode hit way too many fricking personal moments for me.

The last thing I told my dad seconds before he passed was that I wanted him to be proud of me.

Randall's entire speech. Goddammit.

I haven't lost my shite during a fricking tv show ever. I had to stop the whole fricking show for about 20 mins.

I thought using actual game footage was pretty cool. Wasn't as bad a tearjerker as I thought.

I think it was because we were all so prepared for it to happen and they didn't show him dying/dead. Just Rebecca's reaction.

Tonight's episode with the funeral will probably be tougher to watch.
