I don't necessarily think Kelly (HS chick) was a HS student. She could've been a staffer at the school right out of college.

I did wonder if it was planned to go home with the dr in hopes to score pain killers or did he think of that on the fly.

I think it was a combo of he liked that she admired him and still saw him as the "old Kevin" and he assumed she would have drugs. I LOL'd when he shot her down at first, though.

I agree that it was the best episode of the season. I really don't like the character of Kevin, but the dude nailed it in this episode.

Looks like the "Kate" episode is going to be pretty good. I may be the only one here who is like Toby: Team Kate all the way.

Great episode just watched. One thing bothering me though: were they bringing him back as part of like a 20 year reunion type thing? If so the timeline is way off since they were born on 8/31/80

I don't think it was a reunion. They were just honoring successful alums. Kevin's speech was made in front of the current student body, not people he graduated with. Charlotte was only there because she was a plastic surgeon who helps burn victims.

Good catch. Didn't think about that.

I wish they wouldn't have gone that route though. Let one of the twins have something good going on for more than 10 minutes. Hopefully Kate doesn't do something totally stupid and push away Toby.

I'm not the biggest Kevin fan, but the acting was terrific. I hope he finds the dang necklace.

I'm afraid Kate is indeed going to push Toby away. The statement that this happened to her and not him is a big signal. Obviously, Toby is in pain for her and for his own loss. Looks like she will only see her own pain and loss. I hope not, but it looks that way.

Randall will probably be the only one of the three with any good things/success for a few minutes.

The last scene of the upcoming episode looked like they were back together - Kate & Toby - after probably 55 minutes of truly annoying Kate - X 3. I can only imagine.

So, Mr. Pill Box is quite the mess. And Kevin was an A 1 jerk as a jock.

Kate is going to get on our last nerve next for sure, then there's number 3. The final episode with Randall.

The way it's going, IF they release the death info in the last episode, the third child's story won't be so happy, either.

They could drop the bomb next episode, though, while it's not expected. Then, go to a different direction with the Randall story in the final episode of the season. Maybe, release something new. Can only hope. Watching 3 kids - and adults - totally fall apart is a little depressing. "THIS IS DEPRESSION" maybe a better name for the series here of late.

And, it does look like the dog theory is going to come about, dad going in the burning house for pooch for Kate, because they sure are showing the mutt in a lot of short cameos. Hope that doesn't happen because that would be too obvious.

Come on Jack, somehow be alive!

We'll definitely come back next season, if you are. Maybe he's hiding in Stars Hollow.

Jack can’t be alive. That would completely make me hate Mandy Moore.
I can’t hate Mandy Moore.

There were also candles burning all over the house the night the Pitt Football coach came to visit.

Not sure if yall caught that too.

So they gave us a couple ways to speculate on how the death happens in that episode.

I bet it ends up being neither of the hints they are giving us.

We will see.

Doing a rewatch of the episode and not sure of the significance of this but when Kevin is standing at the front yard and the Old man comes out and says " Can I help you? " The sign on the house says 1646.

Immediately pans back to Kevin apologizing and the Old man turns around and the signage says "1920. "

Is Kevin hallucinating and not sure of where the old house used to be and he's at the wrong house altogether?

Don't know if anyone picked up on this... as I missed it the first time through

My wife somehow caught that as we were watching live. To me it's either:

1) He was so messed up he thought he was at the site of his old house but he wasn't

2) Just a really bad continuity error on the show's part

That was the brothel/prostitution plot twist. The ONLY way Division 1 schools are looking at Kevin’s little narrow 155 pound 5’10” arse has to be that the young Mandy Moore character is banging these coaches. Until an early to mid 90’s Penn State defensive consultant comes to visit. For a scholarship to PSU he wants to cornhole kevin. Takes him to the basement to “watch film”. Jack walks in and murders Sandusky. In a hasty attempt to hide what happened he starts an electrical fire.

But before, to get up the nerve (like Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven) Jack has to get hammered to kill. He over does it and electrocutes himself burning the house and Sandusky’s dead corpse up.

Again, no way D-1 schools are looking at the Little praying mantis of an actor that they have trying to play a jock. lol.
