There's one director out there that could put the Star Wars films back on the right track.

If you deny it, you don't understand Star Wars. shite on the prequels all you want, they are far more related to the spirit of the Original Trilogy than anything else that's come since.

I like the prequels. I don’t love them nearly as much as I love the original trilogy but I like them. There’s some ducking great world building attached to them
I also only consider the original trilogy and some of the books and games as cannon though. Everything else is fan fiction.

So you don't count the prequel trilogy?

I never thought I’d see the day where people are saying the prequel’s were good movies. E3 was good but 1 and 2 are just bad.

The only one I truly disliked was Episode II. It was just boring and the climax was meh. Jake Lloyd and Jar Jar Binks were definitely lowlights, but Episode I had fantastic visuals, an incredible score, and an awesome climax that featured one of the greatest lightsaber duels in the history of the franchise.

Not fully. I take the general story but not as portrayed as on screen. I have very specific/intricate thoughts on how that actually works out.

Pretty sure Irvin Kershner is dead

This is sadder than Rantards pining for Miles to come save us from Farmer Fran

I opened this thread thinking Uwe Boll, so consider me disappointed

AotC is the worst episode. By far.

It would take:
A) Start over. Act like 7 and 8 (and I guess 9) never happened.
B) Somehow wrangle in James Cameron or Christopher Nolan. Give them 2 years and whatever amount of money they need to get it ready.
C) Kathleen Kennedy has to go. So does pretty much everyone in charge of making decisions for the last production.
D) And this is just for me, try to get the new creative team to read the books by Timothy Zahn.

Not worse than TLJ.

AotC had its moments. So did TLJ. Both were less than good.

Sure, if the bad parts really bother you. Obviously that's true for a lot of the people who hang out here.

I don't think so. Those prequels were pretty awful.
Now I grant you that they were much better than this new crap Disney has put out but then again it ain't that hard to top this current load of crap.
I would take Adam Sandler to direct the next installments because it would be better than these last ones.

I think a lot of you have nostalgia glasses on when it come to Attack of the Clones.
It's not just a terrible Star Wars movie, it's a terrible movie period.

The prequels in general were not great movies. But the overall plot was good and the world building was good. Just a lot of shitty dialogue, bad CGI, and too many boring stretches. But the Star Wars concepts are there and strong. Let Lucas have a creative role, just keep him away from the directing and have good writers take his ideas and turn them into good movies

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.
